I never really knew that. I just assumed because it looked like they had pretty thick coats. I have never had cows before. Thanks for sharing the info! How many do you have? What kind are they?

Guess you gotta keep the bull out of the pen if you want to keep the herd down! I'm sure you don't mind though because the more cows you have the more money you have.
I don't think im cut out for it either barb!.. btw grandma loved the cow pictures! she full heartedly agrees with me about eating them...
well tonight we had some chicken (dont midn eating them!) fried green tamaters, garlic noodles, homemade lemon merigune pie, pecan, and chocolate pecan fudge (made by me of course!! yummo!

lol yes she does spoil me tons! lol yes she bakes but when im here i do it all shes the one who taught me.. and i teach her some things.. shes afraid to add her flavor to things she always follows the recipe me i go with my own flow i improve things... lol
mmm baked beans and taters and apple sauce yummo! including your pies! I just cant stand to look at a hamburger after seeing these pictures...

At the farm we had a Lodi apple tree (from Stark's) it made the best applesauce in the world.---I made it about like Barb, but If I put a spice in it was cinnamon. They made very good tasting pies too, but only if you do not mind a sausy pie.
I have only seen Lodi apples for sale one time since and those did not cook up or taste the same at all. DH sure misses the applesauce from them.
BTW, Barb, those are osmr beautiful pictures. The trees here are still pretty much green, with just a small amount of leaves changeing as of yet.
