cindy- I have a vision of you wrapped in bubble wrap to help protect you- our a human size hamster ball so you could roll around - course you would end up floating in the pond .... I pulled a cindy yesterday but managed not to do much to myself- just a good size bruise on my leg, fell down 4 steps on the stairway... trip over my own two feet I guess- wasn't anything in the way.... we didn't have hardly any trick or treaters last night- warmest Halloween in yrs and no kids- guess they all had parties to go too...know church behind us did one...oh well lots of candy left over for us I guess.... our boys went out in their other Nana's neighborhood. .. I hope my pics came out of them - will try and get them uploaded in a while--- need to get Mom in shower now- she will tell me it's to cold though....LOL! Nana
I think Cindy would manage to hurt herself on bubble wrap somehow. I remember the vacuum eating your hair, too, Cindy. More than once I think. And something about mixer beaters? Or was that me?

I think Cindy's skill is more as a story teller. She manages to tell her stories in such a way as to entertain. When I had long hair, I managed to get it tangled up in all kinds of things. Gas hedge shears come to mind. And my electric mixer. That was a hairy cake.

I don't like bananas simply because fish don't like the potassium.I don't catch any fish whenever I take bananas along,so I don't eat them because they can ruin a fishing trip.
Well you know great minds tend to think the same--- LOL! that is weird we would have the same thought ...... I once caught my fingers in a mixer ... don't know how I did it and didn't break anything... but boy it hurt! sure am careful now thats for sure.... Way back when I had long hair, in the olden times as my grands like to call it... I got my hair caught in a door hinge--- had to cut it to get it out- was reaching over door to dust the ledge and the door moved ,hair was in wrong place at wrong time- was glad I wasn't alone in house would have gotten really tired standing on the stepstool .... couldn't sit or it would have pulled it out by roots.... was not a fun experience.... Nana
I didn't hide my mishaps. I just didn't post them all here. I didn't think to. And I haven't had long hair for the last 6 years before I joined up. I laughed when they happened though (after the painful parts stopped hurting). What else can you do? Any machine that does something has an air intake. Those intakes love long, loose, flowing hair. And boy! does that stuff stink when it starts burning. I haven't fallen in a long time though, in a pond or any where else. I am so afraid of falling and breaking something (that is my age showing) that I am super careful. I have just been informed that I need to go to the bank. (sigh)

Rain in California is almost always a good thing. Unless we get too much all at once. And especially now we have been in drought conditions for a while. It is supposed to maybe travel down this way. I hope it does. We had sprinkles here and there and clouds and the air is heavy. But nothing measurable yet. I am ready for it if it comes.

Yes, The burned areas can be difficult. We have had thunder, no rain to speak of. In California, even a little rain is big major news on the TV stations. It is a bit funny. But mud slides are not funny at all. I hope you are in a safe area, Enrique.

I live in the San Joaquin Valley, the only thing that can happen here is local flooding from clogged storm drains and small creeks coming out of their banks. The mountains are an hour's drive.
Good, I am glad you are in a safe area. I live on the side of a hill. But it hasn't burned lately. After the last big burn we started sandbagging within a week of the fire. That saved our house from a major disaster on Christmas day. A few people nearby lost their lives. And we were helping other neighbors shovel mud out of their homes for weeks. Even the FEMA people and other disaster officials were surprised our house was still here after that rain. They came along after the fires to check out danger areas and told everyone what to do to protect their homes. They came and looked at the large gully/canyon behind our house and all went like this: . They couldn't figure out a way to save our house. But we could figure out a way and did. They were amazed we were still standing, completely dry.
