Oh, the audience participation is the fun part. The audience acts out different parts and adlibs to things the characters are doing and saying. It's really cool. It does have to be the type of thing you are in to otherwise I'm sure it would seem very bizarre. Jeremy won't have any parts of even watching the movie. I do plan on showing it all to Brennan when he's old enough. I have only been able to show him a couple scenes from it now. Something about transvestite aliens that isn't quite suitable for the kids I guess. Come to think of it, I'm sure I had seen it by the time I was his age.

I am sure you did. I want to see the movie without others in my living room before I see it with audience stuff. I do understand that is the fun of it for them.
When I was a preteen I spent my hard earned money going to see Elvis, Blue Hawaii, I think. I came out with a headache and couldn't see or hear most of the movie for the dopey teens (and some grown females) screaming and cheering throughout the movie. That sort of slanted my view of being in a crowd of enthusiasts.
I don't do movies until they are out for home use now. I can watch and be comfortable.

I saw RHPS the first time in a car--at the Drive-in. But there were a few people walking around outside dressed even then.--this was like the summer of 1978 ??

My DH--then my boyfriend, and his friend were way to "gone" to rememebr the movie-- --but hey it was a good time.

I still remember sitting on the highway at a dead stop--waiting for the traffic to move. It seems everyone and their brother was going to the drive-in that night--for the midnight showing of RHPS.....

Oh My Cindy---I so hope you did not break your arm---that would be BAD!!!

If you broke it you'd probably know for sure. When I broke mine it went totally limp at my side and I couldn't move it at all, I had to pick it up with my other arm.

But Cindy, you cannot let i t heal as i t is---NOT to mention if you do that, and then end up going, they will have to re-break it and set it correctly.
