What a gorgeous setting, Diane!
It looks so welcoming and bright and cheery!
It's so nice to see your flowers now - hope they are weathering the cold you've been having at night these days?

I especially like your roses and dianthus!
Of course Diane would have dianthus!thumbup

Hey Thanks Lynne!~~~~~ I really enjoy sitting out there on a sunday AM with coffee just taking up the morning Dew it's sooo relaxing out there,, I can't wait until my lavender comes back ~it's color and scent adds soo much to this area. I have seen rose moss peeking up from the rock I just let it sprout where ever it wants, by summer the white rock will be colorful too Lol.

Dianna this has been a work in progress for the past three years. WHen we moved in this yard was "tore up by two rotweillers the previous owner just let dig and tear up and I'm done this alone down to every last little pepple and seed and I started everything from "babies" so it's been a long wait for things to come up in the spring finally somewhat lush.. IT really makes me feel good that it's appreciated thru eyes other than my own. thumbup grin The next two springs will really be worth the wait for the fullness and lushness I have been striving for. flwr

diane, i think they won't grow for you because of the hot/cold extremes you have.

Not much blooming here while the temps. are only in the low 40's this week with a windchill right now of 39 - BRRRRR!

But I did see this lone daffodil trying to open today:

And some scilla siberica - they are only about 3-4 inches tall but so cute!

I love azaleas. I just wish they would bloom longer...

When we first moved here, we planted azaleas and dogwoods up and down the driveway (about 300'). Neither survived out in the full sun...

Lynne, I love that scilla siberica!

I will when it gets done blooming so hopefully I will get another bloom maybe in july! This one was here when I moved in and it was totally out of control it was on a larger~ taller trellis and was growing everywhere in everything wraping aroung poles the crepe myrtle ( several feet from it) shrubs I wacked it back to the ground last summer and put in a smaller flower shaped trellis and trained to climb and fill it in. I only want it this size as my water hose is there and I need to move around that area, before I cut it back to ground I had to walk around the front porch to get to the water hose Now I walk thru the front porch,, I like it better this size and I still have to cut it back to control it!!!

Here is my rose tree "carnival confettii" if you look below it you'll see red blooms coming off suckers?? weird how they are red and the tree roses are yellow and pink. I've cut those suckers off for three year ~~This year I left them to see what they would do,, I never expected Deep red roses to form???
