well, I don't know about fairy's?...and naming them. she is one beautiful gal, that's all I know. the hair, the wings, the dress. I'd name her Mia, but who knows what that'd mean in fairy world. ha ha.

I like the name Mia too! thumbup

I also like ALL your flowers still in bloom Diane - you are so lucky to have so much color still there this late in the year! Of course most of that is due to the tender loving care that you give to all your plants!

I thought I'd share a few that are still surprising me with blooms this late in the year!
Firstly... I planted these ajuga rather late in the season - late Sept. after buying them at 50% off. I thought these were springtime bloomers, but there are a few flower heads blooming NOW! why The purple color of the leaves has intensified in the fall, making the electric blue of the tiny flowers really pop - gotta love it!

Just look at these colors!!!

The oranges and lemons gaillardias keep blooming even though we've had several frosts already. And there are many more buds on them. The interesting thing is that there aren't any seeds on any of the older flower heads yet?

Lynne, so wonderful that you still have blooms. they are fantastic. thanks for showing us the pictures.

My Arizona sun gave up the ghost about a month or so ago. In fact, the only Galliardia that is now glooming is the Oranges & Lemons .
If it is nice enough I will go out tomorrow and take a picture or 2 of it.
..again....great photos

I have enough leaves to cover my house and keep it warm. I'm just not going to go trapsing over 7 acres to do it. There are daffodils all around this place and it seems we're in a wind tunnel. The wind blows in my yard most of the time thus I would be constantly recovering.

I don't know where to put these next pictures so I'm going to post them here because I think they're neat.

This shows the acorns in my yard and the driveway. It's hard to walk in our yard because they're so thick.

Friday when I went to my moms my dad and I went walking. They live in a very rural area but a new person has moved in. Guess he doesn't like the others on their road walking on his property so he put up this sign.

[Linked Image]

So across the dirt road the other neighbor put up this sign.

Wow, there are some really awesome pictures in this thread! I really adore the Hellebore. I must try and find one of those. How big do they get? And the weird bent trees were wickedly fun to look at! Once again these are some great pics.

the helebore gets about 2 feet tall and 2 feet wide. The blooms last for months. It usually blooms in Feburary but we've had spring weather lately.

What is on your camera Belinda? Have you taken any lately since you've been so sick. Maybe some of Ashley at Christmas?

So across the dirt road the other neighbor put up this sign.

haha haha haha That is good!

We put up the No Trespassing signs at our house. Not because we don't want people walking on our property. They can walk on there all they want. It is because during hunting season it is hard to see our house through the thick woods if you are on a certain side and we don't want anybody shooting into those woods because it would come right at our house. Make sense? James puts them up the week before hunting season and takes them down when it is done.

I've always heard that a lot of acorns meant a severe winter but it hasn't been for us. Maybe it means for Minnesota.

the pansies popped back from the snow and the camellias continue to bloom. that's about it. I think I'll have daffodils any day now. the snow didn't bother them either. And of course, the weeds look great.

Do you drive a yellow car too?

I know a lady who loved purple. She had a purple car.. Now her personal bathroom is also purple.........

I"d say my favorite is deep burgundy.

I love to decorate in that color at christmas.

Get one ........Treat yourself to the best.
That is a quite common color in our area.

I drive a black one......Which everyone refers to as Mafia car.

My 3 favorite car colors are Black, red, white......

I hate beige. on cars.. nice in clothes.
How is the new hair do going for you?
