We took the train from Budapest to Bucharest several years ago. We stayed for almost a week. We had colleagues in Bucharest who showed us the city. One took us on an excursion into the country side-- to a monastery near a lake. It was very lovely. Following that, he took us to his home outside of Bucharest. It was a former collective farm that he and his wife owned. It was very large. They raised all of their own chickens, goats, cows, vegetables, and had a huge fruit orchard. We even were able to climb the guard tower on the property. This visit was on a national holiday, and so there was a huge meal at his home. I do not think I've ever eaten better food!
On the way back to Budapest, we shared a train car with some school boys on their way to a soccer competition. They spoke a little English and were very nice young men. (It makes me smile just remembering them!)
Where do you live in Romania?

Somewhere on this forum recently, I saw mention of someone changing from dial-up to DSL, so if you followed that thread, you can appreciate that a lot of us take the internet for granted. Like-- get up, have coffee, chat with DH, grab the laptop and go to the sunroom and start checking email and your favorite sites... . I mention this because, unless it's changed dramatically in the last few years, we might only hear from 1234 sporatically. Not that there aren't high speed (or dial up) lines in Romania, but that they aren't easy to come by. When we were there, we had to go to a "gaming room" in a basement of some bar to rent a computer for 30 minutes... .
I will see if I can find a couple of pics to post. Romania is beautiful and if 1234 has 400 tulips... !
Hope she (he?) tells us where abouts she lives.

what dodge is asking is how do you keep your bees. here in the US, we have a major bee decline and we don't know why. the bees are dying and or leaving never to be seen again. if you know some trick, maybe you can help us.
