I am thinking of pulling out some climbing roses that have black spot & replacing the soil and then plant some trumpet vines.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE TRUMPET VINE IS RESISTANT TO BLACK SPOT????

I would hate to see something else succomb to that ugly monster that forever lurks in my yard!

I think they are resistant, but BEWARE...they are extremely invasive and can take over your yard! They reseed like crazy and are very vigorous. I planted one at the edge of my front yard to grow up a telephone pole. Within 3 years it was halfway to the top and there were dozens of new plants all over my yard. I was constantly digging them up...then I finally got rid of the mother plants as well.
