well, I'm off to work..........but I don't wanna! and your right tina. I need every dollar I can make, both for Christmas and bills. So, I'll fake a smile and trudge on.

It is nearly time for me to go too. I am driving both kids to school today. Jonni's is out of my way but she requested it on this cold morning. Her bus drops her off in front of her school and she has about a quarter mile walk to her morning classes on the other side of the football and athletic fields. So I have to factor in the extra time needed. And also warm up the car. It is mighty cold for us. Somewhere in the upper 30's now.

It's snowing here right now and I'm bummed because today was Athena's Christmas program. The morning one just finished and mom and dad went to that. We were going to the afternoon show so she'd have someone at both of them. Well school is dismissing 2 hours early now.....so they won't have it.
It is -2 here right now. It was -12 when I went to bed last night and -9 when I got up. Once again the wind chills are about -25 or so. Thursday it is supposed to get to 21. That will feel nice.
Yeah I don't want to get out of bed but I guess I don't have a choice. It is terribly cold. I dread having to go outside. When I don't have to go to work I try to stay home. That doesn't always work though. Tristen has a Christmas concert tonight so we will be out for that. I just looked out my window here at work it is snowing now too. I think we are supposed to get a couple inches today.
Diane...I can see that 26 would be cold for you though. You are not used to these cold temps. I know that this is coming for us every year but I guess I never really get used to it either.
I enjoyed the few winters I lived back east in my 20's. But even then I understood why people retired and moved to Florida or other points warmer. It does get old. I am home for a while. I ran the early errands. I have a few more after my aspirin kicks in for my headache and before I pick up Ted from school. But meanwhile, I am vegging.

I'm back for the moment..going to head out with Carrie in a few- hit Wally's while Joseph is getting his braces off- get more stuff done in less time that way and Papa can keep the boys and hopefully we will finish up , after we get back Joe and I will out again so I can get a haircut - have to do some things just because if I don't it will get put off and I won't be able to see... really shaggy. See you all a little later... Nana
I had to cut mine last week or so after putting it off way too long, Nana. I know the feeling. I am waiting to cut Teddy's until he is out of school for Christmas break. Then I f I get it lopsided, I have time to work on it before school's back in. Take care on your roads.

We are due for some weather and I am hoping for rain and not ice or snow! Something is coming, though!
Pancakes for supper. Anyone want some?
Merme
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
We've had a few inches of snow with freezing rain coming down right now making it icy, the scanner is going off every 5 minutes for accidents. It should change back to snow soon, then it will freeze tonight. I have a feeling there'll be no school tomorrow.
Yes Merme, I would love some pancakes. That sounds good to me.
My hair is getting really long now....I'm always torn with my hair. I like it super long, but I hate the upkeep. But I just don't feel as girly with shorter hair.
howdy all. it never got out of the lower 40's today, and drizzled rain all day too. I was so dreading work this morning, but it turned out we had a short day so it wasn't ALL that bad. me and hubby met at walmart and got a few gifts for the kids. at least we have finally started our Christmas shopping. we got my son guitar hero - YEA! I can't wait to play.

People keep calling me "sir". I'm thinking I'd rather get breast enhancement work done than let my hair grow out again. But it really doesn't bother me much. I know I'm a girl and that is most important to me. Just like it doesn't bother me when people think I am Jonni's or Teddy's grandmother. I could well be as they were born when I was 40 and 43. And my oldest was 19 when Jonni was born.

I tend to forget that new people don't always know us old folks history. When I joined I intro-ed myself explaining I was the mother of 5 kids; 3 I had in my 20's and the last two in my 40's. I love kids but have no grands, yet. Had to do it all myself.

I wore long, waist length hair because it was easy care until about 6 years ago. I decided to see what short was like again. Now with all the gray, I have a little body that wasn't there in my darker, younger days. And It helps it to lay down somewhat. So short it has been ever since.

I haven't looked yet either jiffy. I heard something on tv about temps in the 'teens'. didn't hear when, or exactly who. maybe I don't want to know.
Ok, I'm pised! I started wrapping guitar hero and realized it is for a ps3 and we have a ps2! (One reason I don't like to shop with hubby. I feel rushed) well, I still have the reciept so I'm making him take it back tomorrow. I'm very dissapointed cause this version we bought has much better songs than the one that will work with our game system.

Ok, I got myself in a big hissy fit over nothing. the same game with the same songs IS made for the ps2. I just picked up the one for the ps3. we still have to take back the one we bought, but all we have to do is exchange it for the right version.....hopefully we can find it easily. I"ve already fell in love with the song selection for 'world tour'. BUT, I gotta keep reminding myself...this is not MY present but my son's. ha ha ha. you guys are so quiet tonight? are you frozen?

I'm cleaning houses. good cash money each day, no gas expense, I still get to be here for the kids b4 and after school, and am losing weight. actually I've been so sore the last couple of days I can hardly move. ha ha. but tomorrow we only have one house. 3-4 hours worth of work. and holy comole! we've been getting tips/bonus' out the wazoo! when I worked for the corp america I only got a 8 lb smoked turkey shipped in from some city in Mexico no one has ever heard of!

oh, but the harder I work the earlier I get off. which might be why I'm so dang sore!
ok for those of you think all is warm and toasty down in texas...I thought I'd share our latest winter advisory. (where is global warming???)
Temperatures are not expected to warm much and remain in the 30s and 40s across southeast Texas. Patches of drizzle and fog will be possible through out the day.
