Today whats this .........plant bloomed.......I do not think it is Coral bells at all. I think it is a common MALVA. LOOK.

Yep I think it's a pink malva too,, cousin to the Hollyhock

Now I arent impressed......The malva grows like weeds here and is very invasive. Yukkkkkkkkkkk. It was fun watching...........Are your amaryllis in bloom yet? Not mine at all.

Yes they are invasive,, I had the purple zebra ones,, I finally pulled them all up, they are taking over,, I saved a few seeds,, tho,,,,, I don't have any amaryllis,,,,,, I have lily of the Nile, they won't bloom until next spring I hope, they are outside,..

I have a million purple zebra ones.They have drafted one entire bed. Slaughter house next spring...... i did like the pale pink. Do you have a christmas tree outside ? I do but not decorated ......Lots of them full of snow. Hope some of my fall seeds grow come spring.. Hey , December is almost over, Means one month closer to spring.......Yipee. b

Weedy as they are, they last about a week as cut flowers...but you have to take off all but the top two leaves. They look nice and airy I've found that if you look, things that are related (in this case Hollyhocks, malva, abutilon aka flowering maple) all have a puffy round ball of pollen, and have five petals that are overlapping. I really like the colour. I don't think I've seen that colour in malvas before (aside from the musk mallows)

I never liked Hollyhock either.daaaaaaaaaa Tell you one thing....If the ole malva makes seeds......They are headed your way ken..... LOL I have the strippy ones in the other beds......Invading it. Thanks

I think you are correct. Very tuff, very invacive, deval plant if it is let go to seed. That one looks kinda like the one called zabrina hollyhoch.

Malva photo again today......It is acutally pink with beige on the ends, the camera doesnt pick it out.. It is nice to look at.
