I have never moved daff's in the spring. Does it work? I have always put out the dry bulbs in the fall. Please explain how and I would love some. What would you take in exchange?
Thanks, QuiltingMom07

Sandy I'd be intrested in a few,but am going to raid some from an abandoned property down the road near here. Yes it does work moving them in the spring. When the gas company plowed the house in(abandonded lot) I dug& moved them after blooming.I planted them same depth removed them & kept them watered a few weeks, the foliage still died back close to normal. They bloomed just fine the following year.I stuck small clumps everywhere so can just about smell them anywhere in yard.I decided being is some left will dig the rest, plus are a few other things,a crepe myrtl........ when packing for shipping.I just wrap the bulbs in newspaper.
I will age ungracefully until I become an old woman in a small garden..doing whatever the Hell I want!

I leave my daffodils in the same spot for years.. They are in bloom right now.......
You dont have to dig them up.. I like the trumpet shaped ones the best.......Pretty yellow bellies.
PS... My horse isn't here, this is my Nitemare..

Sandy, Have you ever seen these bloom? The bulbs you pictured look a little more like Surprise Lilies or Summer Snowflake (Leucojum) than they do daffodils is why I am asking. Great bulbs eiher way.
