Hanny's Voorwerp is believed to be fossilized light from a now extinct Quasar. It is a cloud of dust with unusual properties that trapped the light from this Quasar BEFORE it burned out and has been reflecting this light inside the cloudlight a neon light for BILLIONS of years.

It is ALMOST a religious experience to see something so astounding for the first time ever. We analyzed over 1,000,000 objects in just 3 months and since they have reanalyzed and reanalyzed the same objects over and over again. Hanny has gone from being just a Fifth grade teacher (or the equivalent), to being one of the most famous figures in Astronomy today. She has had HUNDREDS of articles written about her and her work, and has been on DOZENS of radio and TV programs worldwide.......and I talk to her everyday, mostly about her rock music.

I LOVE the Dutch!!! I have many lifetime friends who are Dutch. We talk about music and animals. They've introduced me to MANY INCREDIBLE European Rock Groups.
