We're not doing anything exciting... Maxi baked yummy buttermilk biscuits this morning and made us mini provolone cheese sandwiches. He's been out to shovel a few times so it doesn't get ahead of him.
I have an inconsiderate neighbor here, Lynne, and I think it is pretty hateful. Nobody wants to deal with rude people! I'm sorry for your sitation. At least here I know I am moving as soon as I find a better place....
I hope the rest of your day is better!!

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
Thanks Merme - they usually winter in Florida, and I was hoping they would have left by now - they spend the holidays up here with family coming over, but I do feel it's time for them to go to Fla., don't you???
I'm sorry you also have a neighbor who is rude. But yes, at least you have moving to look forward to.
I am also hoping to be able to see a picture of that afghan, Merme. I've made a few lap blankets in different shades of purple, but I'd love to see a full sized blanket - especially one that you have made.
Tina - glad you have accomplished things already - sounds like a nap is in order for you soon though.
Sorry about your neighbors Lynne, I can relate because the man that owns the apartments down below us put a huge driveway in right next to our house.....well he pays someone to clear it out. Someone on a 4 wheeler with a plow on the front. They would always go out and do it at like 11pm at night. Now this is right next to our bedroom window, and it's REALLY loud.
I took enough last year though and I went out and said to the guy, I know that you are just paid to come and do this for the owner but it's 11pm and my husband has to get up at 4am--you woke him up. He apologized and quit and I never saw him come back that late again.
It's a yucky day here today. We had a lot of ice last night but it's not too bad out right now.
Glad you are finished your Afghan Merme....I bet it's really pretty. Sorry about the computer troubles though. That always stinks.
Today is the laziest of days and I've done NOTHING except get dressed, eat and play with the doggy.
hello everyone. I'm still in my jammies, but I've cut both the kids hair, done some dishes and laundry, cooked breakfast, played some guitar hero......oooopppss that reminds me I forgot to feed all the critters! gotta go do that right now! poor babies.

I was outside riding my bike and the chain broke. Scraped up my ankle. So much for exercise.
Lynne, I'm sorry that your neighbors are jerks. I think you should call the police and ask them to either call or drop by and mention the noise ordinance to them. It can be on a day when they're not even making any noise and the police can say we've been told without mentioning you. I've called the EPA about my neighbors burning and if they aren't burning when they come they tell them not too do it anymore.
merme, I wish your friend would post a picture too. It sounds lovely.
Cricket, I have to get out of my jammies tomorrow. Back to work for me.
I hope your ankle isn't too badly injured, Sheri. That hurts. My son's bike chain snapped and did that all the way into the tendon. I told him no butterflies for that one and took him in for sutures, inside and out. He was 13 and he appreciates it now at 33. It is still a little stiff. I think I deserve a nap.

Well, I gave her the afghan and I do not think she likes it! She made some comment about always having to have silver with her purple! Swell. So why didn't she tell me that when she asked for a purple afghan?! Besides, silver isn't really silver in yarn unless you get into the metallics and who wants to cuddle up with metalic threads? Maybe I'll crochet the buttons for the pillows in the silver metallic thread I have. Then if they are scratchy, she can cut them off!
THEN in the same breaths, she told me her oldest son, DJ who is 7, "stole" Maxi's snuggie I made him and insisted on wearing it all weekend while Maxi was here and so would I make him one?
I had meant for Maxi's snuggie to be a one-of-a-kind project and took no notes. I do recall though what a time I had figuring out the neckline.
I will make it for DJ, of course, because he has loved every single thing I've ever made him -- including his Joesph's costume for the Christmas pageant -- but I was surprised she criticized the afghan in one sentence and asked for another favor in the next!

I know. She told Merme she wanted a purple afghan and she's been working on it a while. When she gave it to her today she said she wanted silver in it too instead of thank you it's beautiful, which I'm sure it is. I was wondering if it's a friend or some crazy person.
I think DJ is Maxi's little brother so the woman could be the Ex's girlfriend? That is a sad thank you for the afghan and I am sorry it wasn't truly appreciated, Merme. I would not like snuggling with metallic threads either.

Oh. Thanks Tina. I hate that DJ has taken over Maxi's snuggle.
This was irking me a little too. I tried hard to keep my children's items (clothing and toys) separated. What belongs to you should not be ruined by someone else. Until you have outgrown it and want to share.

I so agree with you Tina, I hate even when someone comes to visit and tears up toys that do not belong to them, I tell my daughter all the time when someone is coming to put her stuff up or they'll break it

Sheri I haven't seen angelblossom on in a little while. Didn't she take a trip this week?
