Well, the weather report on the radio sounds like they have decided we may not get the amounts of snow they were first calling for...big surprise there. I think weather forecasters are over paid and they try to forecast storms way too early. I still think they have a side deal with grocery stores.
We're having an ice storm right now,, the boss sent us home early so we could get home safe,,, they are anticipating power outages,,, But then again this is Tx,, it could be 70 degrees tomorrow

Good thought, Carol! I'll have to bring mine in tonight...I didn't even think about that.
I only thought of it because they were talking of a "wintery mix" & I figured if they froze shut--I woul dbe forever getting them back to a usable condition--
all of this snow/ice/sleet stuff. it has been, and still is snowing pretty big flakes since this afternoon.---I am so glad I do not have to go out in it tomorrow.
Loz, my Dante loves the snow also. he has asked to go out 3 or 4 times tonight--and we know he does not need to go out to potty so often--- --
it is like a little kid--they love the snow, Dante rolls in it.

Bubba took off rip roaring thru the snow at 100 mph....he just loves it and it tickles me.
We are getting ice right now....and we will for a while, there is a lot of pink on the weather map now instead of white. I guess there won't be school tomorrow either.
there will not be school here either, I do not think. some schools have already called off for tomorrow. ---I like snow but all of this "wintery mix" as they call it is for the birds. (well not literally)

Yeah, when there is any ice you can't mess around with that. Not when there are kids riding on school buses. Better to be safe than sorry.
Athena gets a bit stir crazy and drives mom a bit batty.....that reminds me....mom is making us a big breakfast tomorrow. Oh good. Something to look forward to. FOOD.
oh food--yummy---you will get a reward for getting all bundled up and going to her house.
would it work for Athena to take Bubba outside & play in the snow?? that would let them both burn up some pent up energy. or would that not work well???

Do not ever expect me to post this early in the morning again. I woke up while Stephen was getting ready for work and didn't sleep well after he left. Just talked on the phone with him...he got to work safely (thank God!) but the roads are really crappy. We've decided that they aren't doing too much plowing in anticipation of the ice coming. He said he cleaned 2-3 inches off of the Jeep before he left at 3:45. It is still too dark for me to tell what it is doing out there (really didn't feel like putting my glasses on to look out the window) or to tell how much is out there. There is no doubt in my mind that schools will be closed today...which doesn't make much difference to me since my kids are home all day anyways.
Our dogs LOVE LOVE LOVE the snow. I have a hard time getting them to come in with the snow on the ground...but that is what they are bred for. They have the thickest under coat ever and the wetness of the snow never gets down to their skin. I'll put the camera next to the back door so that I remember to take pictures when they go out later (THEY are still in our bedroom sleeping!)
Well, now that I know for sure that STephen is safe and sound, I'm off to catch another hour of sleep until Luke wakes up. I made a bottle for him so I'll just give it to him while he's in his crib and pray he goes right back to sleep after it. If not, I'm gonna be one tired puppy today!
Oh...lots of medium and dark blues for us right now on the radar map. to see, punch in the zip code 17762
Ah you use blues on your maps there. Here it's light gray and dark gray for snow, and pink for ice......and green for rain.
I'd love to see some pics of your doggies in the snow. Glad Stephen got to work safe. The roads are pretty bad here too. We won't be going out today, that's for sure.
Jess....Libby probably hates it because it's so frigidly cold there.

well it's not 70 degree we did have an ice storm,, as why I'm here instead of work,, Boss called and said don't come in until later,, SO I'll probably try to go in in an hour or so,, later afternoon early / evening will be better for driving home it will be above freezing by then,,.

Loz, for the moving radar thing, blues and purples are snow, pinks are ice, and greens are rain. For the map that doesn't move and tells us accumulations to expect, it is white and grays...and for the map that shows us a one glimpse shot of what is happening right now, it is white and grays for snow and pink for ice and green for rain.
I did get some pictures of the dogs...as well as the snow that we got. I lousy three inches and now it is raining, tho I don't think it is a freezing rain...not sure tho. I'll unload the pictures and get them on PB so I can post them.
It's just rainy and dreary here right now. This morning it was so dark outside even with my yard light that I had to turn around and go out of my driveway front first. I've never had to do that before. I guess the sun couldn't peak out at all.
