My perennial Phlox leaves are turning yellow. I am located in central Texas. Can anyone tell me why?

Are you referring to creeping phlox or tall garden phlox? Yellow leaves is often a sign of either too much or too little water. Creeping phlox is fairly drought tolerant, so it probably wouldn't be a lack of water. It could also be a nutrient deficiency or not enough sun.

They are the tall garden phlox. We have had lots of rain and overcast weather lately. Should I add a nutrient, if so, what do you suggest. Thank you and have a great day.

If the site doesn't drain well enough it may be retaining too much water from the rain you've had. Stick your finger in the soil...is is wet and soggy or just moist? If soggy, you might want to dig it up and replant either in a spot with better drainage or improve the drainage in that site by adding compost or soil conditioner. If the site is wet I wouldn't fertilize with a liquid fertilizer...use a sustained release granular one.

Sorry to butt in here, but how do you know if your phlox are perennials or annuals.

I got a free package in the mail. The package just says "Dwarf compact mix" then how to plant them.

That particular phlox is an annual...it usually blooms in 65-75 days.
