After I rescued this Varied Thrush from a snow bank, he stayed on the front porch for an hour before flying off to rejoin his flock....

I love those! We have had exactly ONE record in the state of Tennessee's history of this bird. One was seen and photographed in Southeast Tennessee near Chattanooga 20 years ago. I was at the Tennessee Game and Fish Commission's, state office, the day the report and photographs were submitted. I had been birding about 6 months at the time, and have loved the species ever since.
Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes.. EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)
