It's true. I was just talking to his old owner and I was saying he was the best, most perfect dog....she said, he was meant for me, and I said now he's meant for me......
Not being funny when I said that to her, we were just bonding over his perfectness and our luck. If she didn't travel so much she would've kept him.
, and Doggy's really help us feel better too no matter how we feel, sometimes Emmy lets me hold her and cry when My spirits are down,, then she licks my face,, and I tell her she's silly,, and that makes me laugh and I'm all better,,,
Bubba will bring you so much enjoyment,, you'll not be able to imagine your life with out him
"Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."
I dread the day he will leave me though, it's one of the greatest conflicts I've felt with getting a pet....I get so attached.
Me and Bubba were snuggling tonight.
He's my big, furry stuffed animal--only he's alive---something I wished mine were when I was a kid. He's just so furry and soft that you just want to pet him 24/7. And bare with me....you'll get so sick of pics of him....how many pictures of the same dog can one post afterall? But he's my baby now and I love taking his picture.
yep--they spoil easy & quick--at least that is my experience--so do not allow anything you do not intend to allow on a regular basis. But I would and do do the same with our "puppy".---yep I do----Dante` has it good here---
but no I will never think you are off your rocker---

That is a beautiful dog, loz! I'm glad you mentioned this thread to me because I hadn't seen it. He looks ohsovery sweet, too! Thanks for sharing.
Merme
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
Thanks Merme. I just love him, he's a sweetie pie.
So I went to tell him night. He sleeps in a corner of our room in his little carrier....it's always been his bed.........so I look in and what do I see!!!!!
Him with his Webkinz Twin. All turned around the right way for a pic and everything. He must've brought it up to bed tonight.
I'm such a dork. This dog has me wrapped around his little paw.
I really like that last picture, Loz. It looks like he was posing for it, and he looks very comfortable in his special place both there, and in your hearts.
My dog's bed is a carrier too. It is a huge one. He mostly sleeps in front of a wood stove in the winter though (or under the blankets with Jonni or Ted). And uses the carrier in warmer weather. Bubba looks so cozy and cute in his.

That is an adorable picture of Bubba, Loz--and yes he does look like he posed for it----I do not know who is happier, you & mark, or Bubba-- --it is probably a draw---- I think Bubba does you & mark as much good as the 2 of you do for him.. A perfect match, I'd say.

Hey!!!!! I just remembered, I got a digital picture frame for Christmas. Bubba needs to be on there!
I think he really likes his little bed carrier. He's so little all curled up in it, and I think it makes him feel more secure being in something--yet he can still see outside to see what we're doing. There's no front on it so it's just open.
Neither of us could sleep good last night so when he went down for a drink I pulled him up on the bed for a snuggle with us. We put a special blanket down on the bed though so he doesn't actually touch our covers.
Yeah, Mark was adamant that he NOT get on the bed. Now he figures as long as the dogs blanket it on there and the dog isn't actually on our covers it's okay. He could never actually sleep on the bed though, I'd squish him. I toss and turn a lot. And he is just a little guy.
We just took Athena to the bus stop and we didn't take him like we usually would. Well his new thing is to jump up onto the back of the loveseat where he has a good view out of the front window. All I could see as we pulled out was his head in the window. When we got back he was still there watching for us to come back.
You are welcome, Loz---I enjoy coming in and seeing what new photos are here if Bubba--
somewhere I have a digital frame for Christmas too, Loz----but Emily told me to leave it alone & she would fix it up for me---well don't hold your breath while yo wait to hear that she has done this for me---

I must admit, I had him up here first. Days and days ago. Mark walked in and yelled at me---get that dog off our bed. Now he puts him up here for snuggle time. I still snuck him up even after Mark yelled at me.
I only have a couple of pics for now----Mark and his baby boy. He babies the dog way worse than I do...and I baby it bad.
I like these pics though....it has my 2 fav. boys in it. :ding: I wish Bubba's eyes didn't always shine in pics like that. He has some really big, brown eyes.
I'll have to take some when we bath him again. They are funny pictures because he looks like a drowned rat. But he is getting better at baths. He didn't shake at all when we gave him his last one.
And yes, he has us wrapped up tight. He's better than a real child though. He doesn't answer me back, he doesn't make too much of a mess, he doesn't cost a lot of money, he's always sweet to us, he'll never sneak out in the middle of the night, and he can't wreck the family car.
He is my baby! I keep getting asked to post more pictures of him---so with that said....here's more, if you can handle it. He's a tad bedraggled looking, but I brush him a lot. That beard is hard to keep neat. Plus it's his bath time tomorrow.
I like giving him those because they last a little longer than a normal treat.
I can't even tell you guys how much I :ding: this dog. One day when he's gone I'll be devastated. I freak out when a fish falls out of my pond net. I do everything I can to get it back in the pond. I have such a soft, weak spot for all living things. This dog is truly my child.
I told Mark one day when Bubba is gone that we should get 2 mini schnauzers....so they can be friends and play together. I would absolutely recommend this breed to anyone wanting a nice house dog.
I hope you have years and years with him, Loz. So you will continue to share him with us. Thank you for that. I used to get my dog pig ears (or snouts) and he knew them by name. But as he grew older he became less interested. I guess it was a favorite while teething and not as much fun later on. He mostly just wants to play fetch games with them and other chewy stuff now.

Bubby had a bath last night. He's getting SO much better doing them now. Here are some pics of him.....he makes me laugh when he's all wet and looks like a drowned rat.
Just got in.
He thought this was a good time to shake....that's why Mark has his hand up, he's saying NO BUBBA, don't do it!
Rinse Time!
I wish you could feel him now, he's so silky and soft--you wouldn't think such a wiry coat could feel so soft.
