Thought I'd get the new CH all spruced up and ready for morning. It is cozy in here, so when you stumble in all sleepyheaded, don't worry. There are hot and cold drinks to be poured and plenty of food to eat, so fall into a chair and visit a while.

Good morning. I woke head-achy and really needed my coffee. And too early for a Saturday when I could sleep in. I have some house cleaning to do today. And my weekend cooking.

it's going to be 76º here today. I'm going to work outside a little.

Its snowing here...

Oh Bill. Come visit me. You can lay in the hammock all day.

It is 21* here this morning... supposed to be snow or rain today... so far it's just cloudy .... cold though....
I got to sleep in till almost 7 ..felt really good....
Well off to pour some coffee and get a bagel... feed Mom in a few too... she got up late too..

Good morning everybody.

I slept in today until 8. Then I diced up some leftover baked potatoes & fried them with some eggs for our breakfast. Now Maxi and I are watching a movie called Hidalgo starring Viggo Mortensen, the man who played Aragorn in Lord Of The Rings. It is based on a true story & we are enjoying it. We like Viggo & because we are so familiar w/ his role in LOTR, every now & then when he is doing something brave or hard in this movie, Maxi calls out some cheer or reference to LOTR & it is quite funny.

We have sunshine today & I'm sorry to hear of the snow some of you are getting.

good morning. it's in the upper 60's now and supposed to be in the upper 70's by day's end. i'm glad. i'm ready for some warmth!

i woke earlier than i wanted to, but just lay there counting my own fingers and toes but decided to wake enough to poke in here for a minute!

It is to be mid 60's here today. I swiped a wet rag over my kitchen and over my bathroom. I'm glad I did because I just found out that my SIL is to visit today. John in cleaning up his messy room/deck where she will spend most of her time. I will have to wait on my weekend cooking but the laundry will go on about its business mostly on its own. Thank modern technology for that.

It is 44 out there right now but pretty sunny with a light fog burning off.

it's 69 here. according to the weather station at the local high school.

i'm contemplating getting off here and doing something around the house, but i just got my feet warm. i don't wanna move

I have laundry going. My floors are dry. I am on my third cup of coffee. I have mystery chicken in the crock pot. It is mystery chicken right now because I have no idea what it will end up as later. It depends on what I throw into the pot as the day goes on. I love crock pots.

Mystery chicken sounds good for now, Tina. Let us know what it turns into under your magic hands.

Maxi left w/ my girl about 45 minutes ago. Off for a haircut, a trip to a cool store where he can get neat loot for low $$, and then a spin through Wendy's drivethru to bring lunch home. I am planning to get a picture of his new haircut for y'all.

My laundry is done & now my bathroom needs a thorough cleaning.

This sunshine sure is nice.

Good Afternoon all----

it got up to 82 yesterday---and already today it is 75.---but it is supposed to rain & such tonight & parts of tomorrow, so I assume it will get cooler after that..---But I'll take this while I can get it.---bad news is it is really enticing my daffs up & outward...

It is nice your daffodils are coming up, Carol Jean. We won't see them here for some weeks yet.

In the small town just south of me there is a large, old cemetary right on the cliffs above the river. Many years ago someone planted daffodils on the river bank & they have since naturalized... covering a huge area, making a sweeping vista that is breathtaking, truly. Lots of folks visit the cemetary in April just to see those flowers.

Wow! That is fabulous weather!! It is 30 here today. We are supposed to get 3" of the white stuff tomorrow. I just keep telling myself that spring is right around the corner.

I have had a pork roast in the oven that will turned into North Carolina Pulled Pork (I found a recipe online that sounded good and had good reviews...I have no idea what North Carolina pulled pork tastes like... I have never been to NC ). I made some cornbread today and I have some beans to go in the oven later and I made cole slaw. Sounds like a southern meal to me. The roast is smelling really good right now!

NC pulled pork sounds good to me. I wonder if that is what I've made the last couple of weekends? My mystery chicken is still a mystery in the crock on low. I just got up from a pretty good nap. Jonni is watching some hard rock on TV. I might end up with a headache soon.

Jess your dinner sounds delicious! Me 'n Maxi will bring our plates and be right up!

Can't wait to see what Tina's mysterious chicken becomes when it grows up.

Maxi bought the DVD for Troy today & is watching it for the second time. It sure does spark many topics for discussion!

NC pulled pork, which we call barbeque whether is has barbeque sauce or not, is very good.

did you post a picture of Maxi?

My mystery chicken is turning into just chicken. We will eat it as is with veggies and a baked potato on the side.

I haven't taken a photo of Maxi yet because he keeps falling asleep! I will get one tomorrow when he is awake!

Tina "just chicken" is very good.

I had pasta.... too tired to seriously cook.

I woke Maxi up to send him to bed in his room because he is asleep on the couch. He woke up enough to tell me he wanted his dinner, so I went out to heat it up for him. He is sound asleep again! I don't know that he'll wake up again and eat or wake up and go to bed. He is zonked!!

sounds like he finally hit the teen sleepies merme. or he hasn't had enough rest.

I think he has hit the teen sleepies, Jiffy, because for the first time in his life he is sleeping in! We've both been surprised by that.

He woke up & ate some dinner and went off to bed. I am not sure he was actually awake while he was eating.

I am cheating on my diet tonight and nibbling on Bugles. They are so yummy!

sometimes it's like that with teens merme.

i've seen matthew sleepwalk to the table, eat, and go back to bed only to wake later to ask why we didn't wake him for dinner

gosh I love that kid of yours, Jiffy! He cracks me up!

Of course you know who I'm calling if I ever have any teenage problems w/ Maxi!! I may end up putting your number on speed dial before he reaches his majority.

so I'll be going to work in the dark again. Phooey. I've been spoiled with my new job, which isn't actually so new anymore. I don't mind it getting dark early because I get off work early. At my other job it was dark in the morning and dark at night when I got home.

Nice but a little windy here today.

I thought the time change was tonight & not last night! Oopsie! Thank goodness I have 3 clocks which automatically reset themselves, so I saw the difference right away with the clocks that need manually set.
