Has anyone heard of these, seven sisters roses?
This is the other rose bush I have planted in my garden which I absolutely love!

Hurricane Katrina knocked my side fence down in 2005. I had it replaced but worried how I would save my Seven Sisters as it climbed the wooden fence. As it turned out, I trimmed back heavily. HK also broke the clay pot it was in but that did not stop Seven Sisters. lol It is a hardy climber, a multiflora from the 1810's (an old garden rose). Hardiness zones 6 - 9.

Here's another shot of my Seven Sisters.

It leans on the fence for support.

Any Seven Sisters lovers out there? rose

That's pretty. glad its tough.I had aloha blow plum off the arbor during Hurricane Rita.Did no good tying down the arbor.

plantqueen.you could protect it with limbs off evergreens like pine& stuff. This is coming from someone who use to dig a rose up and wrap in burlap and bury 1 ft in soil under deck for the winters in Indpls.

Thanks plantqueen!
Sorry not hardy in your location. boohoo What's your zone? Maybe you can plant it in a pot and take inside when cold? I do have another Seven Sisters planted in a pot on the front courtyard. It's doing okay but no uhuhh comparison to my other SS in the ground.

Penny, thanks!

njoynit, thanks!
I'll have to look up "aloha".

Other people heard of Seven Sister roses? rose
