The ants are eating all my fruit seeds!! GRR! Please help!

Help! I tried to plant some strawberry seeds in my garden so I would have fresh fruit but I came back outside and ants were EATING the seeds! I do not know how to stop them but I want some fresh grown strawberries before fall.

sprinkle dry cornmeal out there they eat it and then drink water and it blows them up lol ( can't digest it) :wink:

Are you sure it's not birds eating the seeds??? notme

Let us know if angelblossom's advice worked for you. I had hundreds of ants in my greenhouse last year and this might work for me if it happens again this year.

changing the subject altogether. How long does it take strawberry seeds to grow into plants to produce strawberries? I started mine from plants or roots or whatever you call them.

It has always worked for me. Even better if you can find the hill/nest and make a ring of cornmeal around it.
