Hi all,
It is cold here too cause it is raining - wet and damp - just put my kettle on to make some tea... really tired too so may be it will help me stay awake till Mom is ready to go to bed...
We had a nice time at Carries for our dinner- was really nice not to have to cook an clean up- and Carrie and Jon spent the all day yesterday cleaning and doing laundry- she even cleaned all her carpets... she is going to be so tired out tonight.... we had ham and turkey with the fixens- and pie or strawberry shortcake for dessert... older kids hid the eggs for the little ones... they all were so good- couldn't do it outside since it's been raining most of today... snowing in the mountains... nice we need the moisture.... but now I am heading for the hot bath with my tea and my book.

It is cooling down here to as the sun sinks lower. But that is relative to where I live I guess. My idea of cool is probably different than most of yours.
We had a ragtag meal plan today due to different tastes and schedules. I am still cooking up the last batch of our dinner now. Then there will be dishes. But the kids are all cleaned up and ready for school tomorrow. And I am ready for the new week.

I'm glad things went so fine at Carrie's house, Nana. And isn't lovely when the big kids help entertain the little ones? They are surely growing up!

Maxi was delighted to give his gifts to his brothers. DJ had hoped for a certain new game for his Ninetendo DS and the baby just wanted a new big ball. So, although there was a HUGE difference in cost, both little boys got what they most desired! And DJ who got the game exclaimed to Maxi "Boy, the Easter bunny does better at your house than at mine!" because Maxi had told DJ that the Easter Bunny went in on halfsies for the game for DJ. He thought Maxi was pretty darn smart to negotiate with the bunny! And of course the baby played with the giant ball for hours laughing and laughing about it.

I ended up putting my blush wine (oops! My crocheting!) in the microwave. It changed color, but otherwise is quite delish.

Just what I need on this cold tired night.

Doesn't it always feel good to know the kids are ready for the new week? I love that sensation.... peace of mind and satisfaction.

Maxi starts spring Break at some point this week and I can't wait!

My kids' spring break is over and there will be no more days off except Memorial Day until the second week of June. That is when Jonni's graduation ceremonies will be. But she decided not to walk. And I respect that. She will grab her diploma and run as fast as she can away. She only stayed this last semester because it eased her dad's mind to have her there. She actually finished at the end of last semester. Actually, she may go back and work in the preschool there for the summer under an internship. Her college teacher really wants her to, badly. So that would be money and more credits. Maybe longer.

I've got next week off too then no more time until June 15th. We even have to go on Memorial Day.

I'm glad Maxi had a good day Merme.

Today was a first for me. I saw a really big gray hare in my yard. We've never even seen bunnies at this house and today Peter Cottontail was here. This thing was huge and hopped away before I could run and get my camera. He was not cute like a little bunnie. I'm wondering if the road construction dug up his rabbit hole.

I'm off to bed, finally. I'm a very tired me.

Sheri that is way neat about that hare making an appearance for Easter!

Good Morning,
We had bunnies in the yard yesterday too- but we almost always do here.. they live under our front porch and we are working on getting them to move out- they are going to make it collapse if they don't move.... sure are cute though.
I woke up tired today- went to bed early last night, even left dirty dishes in sink... I never do that .....
Mom is sleeping in a little today- she is tired from being with my sis yesterday I guess... I get the boys in a couple hours - well one of them till school is out- Joe is going to do school runs today... he took extra days off this week too- vacation days from last yr he has to take or lose... we are supposed to have dry nice days the next few so he wants to get the yard stuff started... we need to get the yard areated too ... hopefully before it rains again..
Well off to see what I can do about the kitchen and make my coffee too- will need it to wake up a little more.

We are spring cleaning the kitchen cabinets today and countertop. YAY! Wiping away the grime of winter, making everything fresh.

I left dirty dishes on the counter last night too. Going to clean up right now.

Good morning. I want to join the dirty dish club. No elves came and washed mine either. How they do grow, though.

I really hate the cold dishwater thing. I feel for you. But getting them out is a start. Way to go, Cindy!

I got my dishwasher unloaded and reloaded with the dirty dishes from yesterday and have it running now. I was too tired last night to do it all by myself.

I hate cold dirty sink water.

Good Morning!!! The elves did not come here either---so just where ARE those elves???

I have plastic & wood dishes in the sink that need washing, as I do not put those in the dishwasher---I would make myself do it, but Rod said "NO WORK--NOTHING" !! so there they will sit.

I need to begin eating less "junk" so my eating is limited it seems--I may eat noodle salad for breakfast---that is one way to get rid of it I guess--

Well got my dishes out of sink... and in dishwasher-(there all elves that do this- ? I have never seen elves that do dishes either...). packaged my cooked hamberger up for freezer... put dishes away and made breakfast for Mom- now I need to hit the shower before Nicoli gets here..... but here I sit.... not moving very quickly today yet.

I figured if a shoemaker could get elves a dishwashing mom can too. I am home but off again. I'll be back later.

elves in the dishwasher, huh? if only they would crawl out and load the dishes in for us!....oh and hey....put them away once they're clean and dry!

The sink was full of dishes last night and when I woke up-they were all clean. We don't have a dishwasher because my mom says they are for lazy people. I guess the elves had to wash dishes by hand.

maybe if you put the scissors away, they'd come?

this is one way I know that I'm a spoiled person. I despise taking dishes out of the dish washer. Once in a while I remind myself that I used to have to wash them by hand.

Me too! it seems like it was a hundred years ago.

we are having left over Easter brisket for supper tonight. I'm making some gravy from the drippings. we have bread, so everyone can either have a sandwich or brisket with bread and gravy. easy supper tonight!

We are having leftovers too for dinner.. Joe just took the boys home- think they wore him out today... they always want him to be in same room with them to watch them play or play with them sure glad I never did that would never get anything done.... I am good for food and kissing booboos... reading stories and homework help....
Well off to do another load of laundry and it will be done-- have to iron tonight I think too...

I posted earlier but it didn't post for some reason. Then I laid down on the couch and took a long nap. Now I'm up and made coffee and I'm wondering if anyone is still around the CH?

I'm way tired tonight but am sitting here browsing the forum, listening to CSI:Miami. I do have to insert my insulin pump with a fresh supply of insulin and I don't feel like it. But there isn't enough left to last til morning, so I gotta get to it sooner or later.

I'm picking up Aubry at 7:00 in the morning and she's spending the morning with me. She loves the outside but it's going to rain.

I just re-read about that today, Sheri------I was wondering about it too

I go back next Monday and then I'm working until June 15th. I'm not complaining though. I do get very aggravated because these people don't take care of their children. I don't understand why they have so many kids if they don't want to take care of them - makes me mad.
