1 can La Suer young peas - drained well
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 hard boiled eggs- diced
6 slices of fried bacon -drained and crumbled
1/4 cup( more or less to your taste) very finely sliced Red/purple onion
Add Miracle Whip to combine all the above to your desired consistency and a little salt and dash of white pepper and let chill four hours before serving,,

This is also great on party crackers too!

I especially like this with spicy foods and BBQ's , and fried /baked chicken

YUM, I might have to make this---we're a pea loving family---except for Mark of course. Sounds super easy too.

This sounds very good Diane!! I will definitely try it! I am wondering about the peas though. Is La Suer the brand name?

Yep Jessica that's the brand,, It has a silver and green label,, Any new young canned peas are just as good ,, But personally I prefer LaSuer the best,,

Hmmm, sounds good but I don't like peas either...think I'm gonna try it substituting with diced cooked potatoes.

I love peas and LeSeur is the best. Have you ever made the 7 layer salad with peas? I had the recipe years ago but have lost it. I was told in it that you HAD to use Kraft mayo, that Dukes or another brand just wouldn't work. Is this true with the Miracle Whip in this recipe?

Are the peas from Green Giant?? I live in Le Sueur and we have Green Giant here. All of the Green Giant veggies that you see come from here! I am wondering if those are the peas you are talking about?? I love the smell of the peas when they are picking them!! Yummy! lol But then again I love peas!!!

Sheri Yep Miracle Whip has to be it!!

Jessica,,, I think LeSuer is a Green giant Brand, Use any you like Just so they are young small peas,, Lasuer peas don't smash up as easily is the reason I like them as opposed to other brands as well as the flavor[Linked Image]

Diane, my mother made this same pea salad when I was growing up and I have to, ever since!! We never had the crubled bacon, though, and that sounds very good!! I will try that.

Without the bacon, I have also diced up apple in there. May sound strange but it is very good!!

Wow I can't wait to try this! I bet even Maxi would eat it even though it is peas and has something similar to mayonaise in it! lol

Don't know if I can hold off til next weekend though, so I may just make it for me! Maybe Monday is soon enough?!
