They are beautiful photos, Cheryl. Is your Emerald City the one in PA?

No, the one is Washington. I'm in Seattle, which has been nicknamed the emerald city due to all its green.

Thanks for the compliment on my photo's.

I was just checking out the colors on the ducks and I've decided that orange shoes go with everything. Gotta get a pair.

Orange shoes are a must, definitely! I can't wait to go back and get pictures of all the little ducklings, there should be a lot.

Yes, I was admiring the grass in those photos. Haven't seen much grass that green for about 11 years- that's how long we've been in drought!

Sorry to hear about being in a drought for so long. I moved to Seattle from Nevada, which is all desert, so I know how droughts are and how it is to only see brown grass. Right now it's our grass growing season. The grasses are a lucious green and we have to mow it wet.

Ah yes, mowing, I remember that! Sounds like you made a good move, although the desert has its own beauty, doesn't it?

We are getting our rainwater tank this week, so then we just need some rain, and we'll be able to water a bit more. It's coming up to our winter, so hopefully we should at least get some rain.
