Your morning starts early!!!!

I don't drink coffee so I'll be washing my Cinnamon roll down with Pepsi. Do you have ice?

It's chilly here today and I'm dressed like winter. I froze in my office all day yesterday.

If you have an questions about your sedum ask Angleblossom. She's the expert on sedum for sure.

Do you have a camera? I'd love to see your fountain.

Sure the more the merrier!
I have been sadly absent again! LOL NO big surprise there.
We had a new section of lawn put in on the 11th, and it seems all I do is drago hoses and water all day. Does not help that we have been rainless for 7 days.
But WOW this weather is fantabulous! flwr I am feeling great. Still working out every morning, Down 18 lbs. And nothing but good food passes these lips. Oh why did I not stay in shape for the last 5 years.
Hubby and I are working out together, and its a nice change. We walk at night, I push him walking, he pushes me when we do weight training. I find I dont think about food at all anymore, HAve to remind myself to eat. ITs really true, You forget about the junk food once you give it up. and your body does not crave it anymore. I crave fish! Thats my latest thing. LOL And Veggies. I am feeling really good about me. And have so much more energy. I go to bed at 11, and I wake up automatically at 5:30 I dont need an alarm anymore, Used to get up at 6. Now I am wide awake at 5:30.
Yup exercise does that. And no more crashing tired in the afternoon, Have not taken a nap in weeks.
Wheres the time, I have watering to do.. Dang that lawn better come in for what the work cost.
I may start chanting over it. neener Hope you guys are enjoying spring. I have to put my tomatoes in this weekend, And I have all the seeds folks sent me to plant. So many cool ones kissie

Morning ,
Was up early but enjoyed the swing, coffee and my paper reading out there- watched the birds too and listened to the doves cooing- love that sound....
It's another really warm day today- and then we cool off a lot- our typical almost June weather here- windy too in the afternoons.
Hubby mowed the grass yesterday... yard looks so nice now- ... my flowers are blooming and roses are budding too... can't wait till payday so can get the plants I want for the front yard...
Well off to get Mom her breakfaast - she was up early too- .... Joe is off doing the school runs- so got to get my shower before the boy arrives and then we can play some... though should run the vacuuum before it gets to hot upstairs to do it.

I have the best or I guess it's really the worse story ever. This beats anything I've heard this year.

Let me prefice this by saying this school and a few others in my county have pre-kindergarten classes.

This dad wants to enroll his children in school. 1 in pre-k, the other in kindergarten. "did you just move to Monroe or come to the US?" "No, but my girlfriend and I are going to Mexico to visit my mother and her sister is going to take care of the kids and she can't take care of too many during the day." We aren't accepting any pre-k students right now and since it's so late in the year the kindergarten student will have to repeat next year. He said he was hoping they could both attend summer school because they're going to be gone at least 6 weeks. And it gets better. They're leaving tomorrow. Sorry, we told him. He doesn't have the required birth certificates, immunzations or physical form for the 1 we would have to allow in kindergarten so they can't come to school. "What will we do my sister in law won't keep them all day." He says. (I'm not making this up). The secretary told him she doesn't know and I walked into the office and told him, very nicely, that I couldn't help but hear and he needs to know that it's against the law here to leave children alone or unattended and that people can call the police or DSS any time they think children are being neglected and an investigation will start so he needs to make sure he has good arrangements before he leaves. He just shook his head yes. I asked if he can't take them with him and he said it's too hard to get them back across the border and left. We've got his name and address and I'm going to call either DSS of the police tomorrow myself and ask them to check it out. I don't know if they will but I'm going to try.

OH mY Sheri---are there actually some good/nice/"normal" parents that have children in your school system????--
it seems to me that most of the parents look at it as a babysitting service??

and I have to ask--I wonder how long this guy knew he was going out of the country--and is Mexico a good place to be going now anyway???--

not to mention, are we allowing people to just go to Mexico, in view of the Flu thing?? I thought you had to have some really necessary reason to do that just now???
\
My sympathies to you.

Good morning. I slept in again so I am taking another mental health day for me and just vegetating for the most part today. A little housework maybe while it is cool. (Mid 80's)
It does sound like these are illegal aliens, Sheri. And I'm quite glad that these children cannot go to school at this time yet. California is an agricultural state so our schools are set up for itinerant workers. But the students must have their vaccines and such.
And no, Carol, the borders are not closed. There is just a travel advisory where our gov't suggests we don't travel to Mexico if it can be avoided. Both for the flu and there is much violence going on there. It scares me, the idea of any of my loved ones traveling there just on the violence alone.

Hi Tina,Carol, Cindy and all else I missed...
Yes sounds like illegals to me too... kids probably don't have any kind of papers so they won't take them down- and it is scary to think of going down right now... expecially border towns... way to much violence... we used to go down when we lived there...but wouldn't do it now for sure- we even had second thoughts about going down to AZ cause where we are going is right on the border...
Well not getting anytng done I meant to do so far...but will get to it all eventually.

All the Mexicans in Monroe are here illegally. I thought everyone knew that. I don't know about other areas of the country but in NC they are almost all here illegally. It isn't politically correct to say illegal anymore. We're supposed to say undocumented. They travel back and forth all the time. They take their children out of school to go to Mexico for holidays and vist relatives and funerals and whatever. If the parents are here illegally but the children are born here, then the children are legal and aren't a problem getting across the border. I guess these students were born in Mexico so the parents may be questioned about bringing them back if they're caught. It costs $1800.00 to be transported across into the US. At least that's what they say. That's why I get so mad. They can't buy their kids shoes but they pay $1800.00 to travel.

Maybe all those "mental health days" I've been taking for several years got me into this shape. shock

I got more business taken care of this morning than I thought I would. So I am good for the day. I might even go out and repair sprinklers that have been calling my name in agony.

the weather is beautiful. I sat on the swing a little while and now my allergies are out of control again.

did you get those sprinklers going Tina? Are they at your house or at your job? Are you going to be working more now?

No sprinklers yet. They will need to remain in agony until I wake from my nap. I do plan on working harder at my current job(s) but I don't plan on taking on any additional work for now. I am needed at home for now. That might change down the line after I see how the finances shake out.

Well I'm home and I've had a pita sandwich and some sun tea. I'm too tired almost, to keep my eyes open, but I did want to come in and say hi.

Aww Sheri That is so nice of you., Believe me, I did it before when I was 30.. Was down to 129. It CAME OFF EASY THEN. Not so easy anymore.. I have been lying to myself for a year or more, Suddenly I got disgusted with myself, and I just wish I had not let myself get out of shape..
I would be right there with you if I could doing it together, you know they say misery loves company! kissie

I've been sleeping for the past two days. I did get to the doc this afternoon and got some drugs. gotta work tomorrow so hopefully they will kick in soon. gonna get up in the middle of the night to take another round of antibiotic and steriod.
I'm about to eat some pizza, water the garden, then get back to my sleeping.
I'd forgotten how good sleep can feel. sleep is my friend!

I picked up a bag of pecans yesterday and my allergies are way out of control now. The honeysuckle is horrible. We're going to have to get out there with the tractor and cut that stuff down. It smells good but has taken over.

Where is Cedar Point Ditchy?

Cedar Point is in Sandusky, OH. It is dubbed the "roller coaster capital of the world" with it's 17 Roller Coasters. It also has ample carousels (three) and water rides and all the traditional fare as well.

I hope everybody is having a good day.

I saw my back doc this morning and again, he was a big help. I went to bed last night at 2, had a rough time of it, and was up by 6 AM anyway. My back was just bothering me too too much. Now I am better. YAY!

Now my chores are all done, my house all sparkly, and I am ready to put my nose in a good book.

When we were leaving the cemetery a few weeks ago (when John was scoping it out and making his final decisions), I teased John about choosing to be interred in the wall so I couldn't dance on his grave. He got a kick out of that. So whatever you make up about me can't be much worse than some of my own crazy ideas.
