Ok, I'm glad you hope it is. i weed those out of any landscaped areas I find them in. It is Oenothera hookeri, I think. If it is growing over 2-3 ft tall, anyway.

but the description sounds so pretty and it's supposed to smell good. Maybe I should pull them up then.

They are pretty. But end of season they get very weedy looking and then spread everywhere for next season
I have never smelled them

I'm going to take another picture tomorrow if there are blooms and let you guys check them out. If they smell good I might keep them around for a while and then pull them up.
