Welcome David. Here are bits that I've found,
When a frond becomes yellow or dead like in appearance be sure to remove the entire frond.
Tips of the Areca Palm may also turn brown. The browning tips of the palm are normal One main area to beware of with this palm is that you should only prune off dead branches. If you clip the browned tips you will stop the growth of that branch.
Apply standard liquid fertilizer to actively
growing plants every two weeks. Once Areca Palms start turning yellow, it can be difficult to bring the color back. These plants benefit greatly from occasional top dressing with Fafard and additions of granular controlled release fertilizer (Osmocote) to prevent or delay chlorosis.
I just googled areca palm care and took bits of info from several sites.
