I was just following the track of the last CH. I really need to pull everything out of my cabinets and clean and reline them.
But I mostly just want to pull them out and start over

I would be happier with my kitchen if the cabinet doors would close and stay that way. Ok, enough kitchens.
What is everyone up to this weekend?

Hi everybody! wavy

Today was a little daunting for me. But Maxi is home now for the weekend. We had a late dinner and now he is sleeping. I'm getting ready to make a cup of Red rose tea and relax for a bit before heading for bed. I can't lay down when I'm tense; I'll have bad dreams!

I have just been wound up (emotional) about financial matters... frustrated and upset; relieved and grateful. It has been a roller coaster ride. So, I'm delighted it is Friday night & I can put this week behind me.

Next Wednesday Maxi will be home for good. We will both do so much better once he is! YAY!

Good morning. I slept in a little today. I think I might be caught up a little bit. It is cool and drizzly again today and I am loving it. I am so dreading the summer heat this year.

Ok, I have been out shopping. I have been to a business meeting. Now I am home and cooking. I am having a small dinner party tomorrow to celebrate Jonni's graduation. Just a few friends. I think there will be about 15 of us there.
I really want to start back up some of our bigger pot lucks we used to have. They were fun and gave me a reason to cook different things than the usual home fare.

Good morning.I've got lots of chores to do today. The dishes aren't clean because there's no soap left.My mom will go to WalMart in a while to buy some more. I've got to clean my room. Maybe if I finish early I could go to the park with my brother.

Chores are better than boredom, Enrique. I have been known to use laundry detergent for dishes in a pinch.
One pasta casserole coverd with cheese is in a pan ready to pop into the oven tomorrow. The second is well on its way.
I will begin on the brownie cheesecake when that is put away. I cheated and purchased a veggie platter and a fruit platter. I will doctor those with additional stuff like olives and strawberries. And a big green salad. Gotta get my friends their "5".

Just had supper. We got a extra large pizza...and we still have half a box left. Pineapple, bacon, cheese...anyone want to come over? I've been cutting peonies and salvias to bring inside; my room smells nice for once XD Exams start next week!

I am done cooking for the day. Tomorrow will be mostly heating things up except for the shrimp and the toasted French bread. I had to test out the wings and they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Now I am really looking forward to this. I was dreading it a little before. Not the work but organizing the whole shebang. I am out of practice.

We had a great day. We went to 2 farmers markets and to a small hardware store. I bought a great rain gauge, the one Patunia sent me cracker, and a solar ball on a stake. We came home and cooked corn on the cob on the grill, salmon on the grill and fixed a salad with lettuce out of my little garden. Tasty.

My kitchen is still not clean but I'm out of work for the next 5 weeks so I'll get to it. clap

No it will be an early dinner. On Sundays we tend to roll up the sidewalks early for the coming work week. So I planned it for 4 pm.
Your dinner sounds scrumptious too, Sheri.

Johnny who is a meat and potatoes man took one look at his plate and said "this isn't much of a dinner but I'll eat it. Do we have any weinees I can throw on the grill?" He's always said he doesn't like salmon but after he tasted it he loved it. I had cooked 3 pieces of salmon and he ate 2 of them and 2 ears of corn.

Yes, mine is ugly too, Kim. I hope your gardens give you joy all summer.
I woke up earlier than I wanted to. I don't want to fizzle wanting a nap this afternoon when I need to be a busy Susie Homemaker. But there is always coffee.

I'm trying to read back some, while I make tea and figure out breakfast.

we found deer tracks in the garden, so at least now we know WHAT is in there using my garden as an all you can eat buffet.

A very odd thing happened the other night! the dogs were going crazy around 11pm. I stepped out on the porch and could see they were all fighting with something. I figured it was a coon. I grabbed the flashlight and went a little closer and couldn't for the life of me figure out what kind of critter they were on, but they were serious and the fight was getting very ugly! the critter wasn't fighting back. I started yelling at them to back off. even got in the car and got close with the high brights and the horn honking. I finally got one of the dogs inside the car. after everything settled down I followed the dogs off into the woods and discovered they had killed a beaver! we don't even live by a stream!

I have never seen a beaver although we did have an old beaver dam close by. Cool. I'm kinda sorry it died though.
I have been out and back again. I went and 'deodorized' my oldest daughter's empty rental with a lot of vinegar. A closed up, well lived in house is the pits. Then shopped for a couple of items. Getting ready to start cooking again soon.

it was the sadest thing when I saw that dead beaver! I was pretty shooken up. I had never even seen one in real life either. I read up on them and it said the cyotte and wolf are it's main preditor, so I relaxed a bit at what my dogs had done. it's still bewildering on what a beaver was doing on our property? we have a shallow dried up creek bed on the edge of our property but I've never seen water in it. we haven't had rain in forever! maybe it was out looking for a new home?
I gotta get to town here soon. were out of fish food, and they are getting tired of eating bread.

Yes, it is Flag Day and Maxi has Old Glory flying even though we are having a bit of rain.

Jiffy you ain't old... you is vintage!

Nana! So good to see you in Sierra Vista, relaxing and enjoying yourself!

Hi Tina ~ I hope all your cooking yesterday goes down well today.

We just got home from church. It was interesting for we had a guest Bagpiper who piped in the procession using a traditional Scottish tune... the one everybody recognizes.

I joined the Kneeler's Guild. The Guild are the stitchers who make the kneelers. A kneeler is a 10 x 14 square, firm pillow done all in needlepoint. Stitchers from all over the state of Maine create these individually designed kneelers and donate them to the Cathedral, which is the church that represents all the churches of the state.

So I want to design one based on St. Francis of Assisi and his Creche with all the animals & birds. So I have a few months to draw and/or research the design & in September the Guild will help me transfer it to the canvas. I think each kneeler gets 58,000 stitches. Many of the designs are very complex as you can imagine.

Another thing right up my alley is I'm going to do the Christmas Pageant this year, and we've already started discussing it.

So... there is lots for me 'n Maxi to do there and we are happy as clams to be attending at last.

Maxi wants to cruise You Tube and be DJ for a while, so I gotta go.
