I shot 2 BUTTERFLYS.. Now you must beat that..

Great shot, Dodge!

I don't think I can top it-- you've got two in flight-- but I do think I can come close.

One day a few years ago (when we lived on the Shenandoah River) I was on the deck doing a little bird watching and this fellow came along.


We walked around a bit and he eventually relocated as I was trying to get him to move to a pot of sunflowers.


I tried and tried but he just would not leave me alone.

great shot dodge, I never have my camera ready when I get visitors, just had a really cute baby wood pecker come for a visit on my porch and no camera ready

I love those yellow and black ones. we have the same ones, I think, around here. do you know the name? I googled them one day for an hour on a bug site and never could pinpoint what it was.

That is the Swallowtail butterfly ..Name of it .

The fly right past your face when your outside walking.. They are having a hay day in my flowers.. they seem to love the pincushion plant and the phlox.

Now the Lilys.......You will notice the butterflys will land on the like colors to match their colors.......There are also orange ones , white, blue, blacks.

It is fun to see how many colors you can photograph.
