I know that you can connect a mouse to use with laptops, but is it possible to connect a full sized keyboard or a printer/scanner? I would hate to have to type my papers on the tiny little built in keyboard. Assuming you can, do all keyboards and printers have the same little USB head to connect them to the machine? I know when I change my desktop I can just move everything over to the new one without having to buy new cables.

Helping the world one seed at a time When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

Hey-- I am NOT a computer expert, but you can connect printers & I think I've seen keyboards (but not certain). CNET.com is a good place to look around for computer stuff & for independent reviews, recommendations, and pricing information.
Good luck!

Most laptops have several USB ports; and most addons are usb as well.
Most laptops also have PCMCIA ports and you can buy PCMCIA USB adapters (that add 2-4 USB ports to your laptop depending on the card).
Most scanners are USB, as are most new keyboards/mice, so it shouldn't really be an issue.

I never got on the CNet wagon; I just go to NewEgg.com and lookup what I need then sort by most reviews and then poke through them
