Good morning everybody!

It is raining today.

I woke up feeling a bit frantic today and have had a hard time calming myself. This week has just been a lot of pressure on me. And, with my girl giving attitude, extra appointments galore, and Maxi home to add to the happy part of the mix, I'm in a tizzy.

So I'm having my coffee now that the scheduled social worker six month visit is over and trying to chill a bit before jumping in the shower and preparing to leave for dialysis.

I'm home and it is still pouring!

Maxi & his friend Joey are hanging out -- sorta in and out -- of the rain. Maxi just tossed Joey's jacket in the dryer because it had gotten soaked & we do not have the heart to make him wear it again that way.

Now I am going to have 1/2 a sandwich and a cold drink and rest for a bit while the boys fool around on the pc with their DS's.

I know, I know... it doesn't sound like such exciting times in the old household tonight, but for me, I am a happy she.

I understand completely Merme:

To have your child/children close is such a happy thing. One does not need much else.

We had a small storm-ette here this afternoon late. TWhile it did look bad for a while, the whole thing blew over us in about 15-20 minutes. All we wound up with was a bit of rain, while a few counties over now have Tornado warnings.
I guess we got lucky.

what is anyone up to tonight???

Tonight Maxi played on the computer and I watched DIY network as I was too tired to do anything else.

It is very humid here tonight. The rain has stopped for now but it is warm and wet.

Tomorrow will be busy. We have some organizing to do in the living room because of the situation with the two computers on the desk and a myriad of stuff flung hither and yon to accommodate things.

Later, my computer guy is coming to help me finish cleaning out the old computer for my friend.

After that, Maxi is going shopping to get a Father's Day gift for his dad.

I still don't know if he is going to his dad's on Saturday night or sometime Sunday as I haven't heard back from them on it yet.

So now I'm off to play some Spider Solitare and I will see y'all tomorrow.

Safe away home O my palies, and sweet dreams to you all.

Good morning. Today Ted and I are taking a drive. A little business and a little pleasure. I am looking forward to it. I do like spending time with him.
Coffee is on and I am getting my paperwork together.

Morning all,
Still in sunny (today) AZ... our last day till we hit the road for home- boys have had a ball and so have all the adults... Joseph got to drive the little mule tractor and take the boys on rides with him around the property,,, by BIL has about20 acres of land around his house... we made a turkey and a brisket in the pit the other night.. was so good- forgot how good a pitted turkey turns out... we are going to take a cd of some of the pics to Target and print them out put them in frames for the neighbor and friend who let the boys ride his horses and the friend who gave Joseph the golf clubs...
We had a monsoon storm yesterday first the dust and then it actually rained a third of an inch over about an hour and a half... then sun came out and it was no longer wet at all- the boys went swimming... AZ weather for sure.
Well I am going for my coffee and going to take it outside to watch the quail and jackrabbits...

I hope you have a great time, Tina.

Nana, it sure sounds like you guys have had a real vacation and I'm so glad for you all.

Maxi did some under-the-desk chores for me with computer cables old and new. Now he is showering and getting ready to go buddy around with his palies til it is time to leave for the shopping trip for Father's Day.

I'm trying to wake up, sorta, almost.

You sound like you are enjoying having your son back with you full time, Merme.
Nana, it sounds like you have had a wonderful time yourself. I hope your trip home goes smoothly.
It is much cooler and nicer than it has been for my drive today. I have my paperwork together and am getting my son heading towards shoes and out the door. I will be back later.

Nana, almost every year I do our thanksgiving turkey on the pit. it's the best that way! no carving, just shaking the meat off the bone.

Merme, you sound in good spirits today!

good luck on your trip, tina. it's nice to get errands accomplished AND have a little fun time too.

I went to town earlier and got a few errands done. ran out of money before I could get ALL of them done, but oh, well. that's how it goes sometimes. I'm doing a bit of cleaning and laundry. my son put up a cloths line for us the other day. instead of streching a couple of short wires between fairly close together trees, it is one L O N G line....I bet it's about 30-40 feet! lol
It works though! I'm not complaining. and as hot as it has been the cloths take just a wee bit longer to dry outside than it would take them to dry indoors.

well, they SAY we have a slight chance for rain NEXT saturday. we are having mid 90's during the day with heat indexs in the triple digits also.

hubby and the kidos took off for an early fathers day dinner with the inlaws. I played sick...again. I have a wee bit of guilt, but not much.

I'm a bit disgusted here. I'm a fanatic about keeping my toenails painted. I bought some polish at the dollar store a while back. not at one of the good dollar stores but one of those 'Nothing' over a dollar, dollar stores. anyway, the entire top, including the glass part inside the cap, broke off when I tapped it against another bottle to make room to put it back in the box. OK, no biggy - I bought cheapy stuff. last week I was in a beauty supply store and got a couple more bottles of polish. (I"m addicted...can't have too many shades of purple and red, right??) I was outside just now painting up my toes with the 'PRO' polish when the top broke in half when I was screwing the lid back on! tapfoot I paid a pretty penny for that stuff!

have any of you noticed poor packaging on stuff lately?...even the name brand good stuff?

my garden veggies are very forgiving! all the okra and tomatillos the deer ate down to nothing but a stem are putting off new leaves! I didn't think that was possible????
I have a canteloupe growing up one of the tomatoe cages. guess I gotta figure out how to make a little hammock for her tomorrow morning.

Dave, what do you think about putting some gold stars here and there on the walls??? idea

I didn't think of myself as a hippie even back when hippies were thick on the ground. And thick in their VW vans painted wonderful colors. I kinda stopped listening to the music coming out around then too.
