Morning all you early risers... well I am one too just didn't get here till now though... really slept well last night- and didn't have much trouble getting up early either so that felt good too... Mom slept in some- according to my sis she wasn't sleeping well over there... might have had something to do with her not paying attention to her meds... she gave one once a week that is daily... I just have a lot of trouble believing she cares so little as to not read the very clear and explicit directions I left or to get on line and ask- she was on line the whole time I was gone.... oh well water under bridge and Mom seems to be okay today... bet she tells me she doesn't want to shower later too...

Joe went off to work ... he will mow today after he gets off ..we want to work on the front yard too... back yard is doing well right now- roses are blooming wonderfully and the side yrd is full of blooms too- need to cut some for the house today... well off to shower before it's time for Mom's breakfast...

Hi everybody!

I used to hate to go to the Social Security office too when I had to go to offices in the big cities. Now that I can go to the one in a local small town it is great! There is never much of a wait and they are as pleasant as can be. The difference is night & day.

Sheri I'm glad you are getting things back into their natural course now that you are home. I'm also envious of all your blooms!

OMG and it already feels like 107 (93 with heat index of 107 and not even 10 am yet

I hate cooking when it's this hot it steams up the whole house, I put some beans on in the crock pot, maybe that wont make it too hot.

I got some stuff done...cleaned out my travel tote - put my purse back together... got Mom fed- now need to start on the laundry and do the bookeeping too... posted a few more pics too in my vacation thread---
It's cool here so far today- only 66 right now but supposed to get to 90 ... so glad Joe got the cooler in yesterday...

I worked for a couple hours outdoors. Jonni stayed with Ted for me. But she wants to go out for a bit so I have transferred myself to working indoors and around close to the house. Ted can help with stuff or go along for. He loves golf cart riding. So as long as I don't stop any one place too long he is good.

Has anyone else ever wondered why the man who advertizes Kaboom cleaner YELLS throughout his ads?!

That is the tactic for those commercials! I cannot STAND those commercials, or any other where they think that yelling is going to get my attention. I either mute the commercial or change the channel vowing to NEVER buy those products! Have you noticed that that guy lost a lot of weight in the last year or so? I'm thinking that all this yelling cannot be good for his health or blood pressure you know?

Well Cindy I wear a bluetooth too and I'm not talking to him... he is way to loud for me- I mute and or change channels too when they show those kind of ads..

We just had a thunder storm and it rained some- never got hot today either so that was nice... only 61 right now... nice!
We were going to cook hurgers on the grill tonight but may have to dig out the George Forman ...pretty wet out there.

Wet is wonderful, and so are those temps for you, Nana. It is hot here. But going to get hotter. So I am trying not to whine. I hate loud commercials and will not buy those items.

man, we had plans for the 4th of july, but I got to thinking about it today...I"m not leaving. I love fire works, but we won't be doing any here. and won't be going anywhere to watch them. We'll be holding down the fort! I'll just be out in my lawn chair with a cold beer in one hand a garden hose in the other!

Believe me we are enjoying our weather - we are usually really hot by now...
I actually made a cup of hot tea a little while ago.. was chilly... rain stopped but now it's really humid and cold now.
We may actually get fireworks this yr- they have had to be canceled before when it is to dry-- they sell them here but will stop them some yrs...our neighbors usually go to Wyoming and get the illegal ones and put on a good show- we watch them but don't usually buy much... they have gotten tickets and still do it.We wet down our yard and bushes and trees too - never know where those rockets will land- and we keep buckets of water out too... just in case.
