Hi - I've got 4 tomoato plants in 9 gallon planters on a patio which gets lots of full sun in morning through early afternoon... in Southern California. 3 plants seem to be doing okay. They're all heirloom, can't remember which though.

One plant started to blossom, bear fruit and now it's seems to be checking out early.

I water almost daily, never too much. Have used Miracle Gro 2 or 3 times, they've were replanted from the nursery just over a month ago.

A couple weeks ago I sprayed some insectisidal soap; and perhaps I sprayed some of that caterpillar stuff that I've used on my basil... it's not harmful but can't remember what it's called.

Anybody have any thoughts based on info and pics here?

I don't think it was anything you did, I think there's a disease getting them. Check out this other thread where we've been discussing leaf disease, there are several good links posted:
