Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
Today we received news that a 39 year old woman who was our neighbor for six years when Maxi was small, died unexpectedly yesterday. Kris was mom to Freddie, her only, who is just a bit older than Maxi but the boys always were good buddies.
Although they lived in our town for 20 years, she was actually from way the heck up north on the coast and so her graveside service will be up there on Monday. That means we, and most of her local friends will not be able to attend.
She and her husband had separated and Freddie was living with her. His dad isn't in any condition to take him, so we are worried about where he will go.
Maxi adored Kris right from the start. When he was very young and didn't even like his Aunts holding him, he would climb up on Kris and go to sleep in her lap. She was a super neighbor and we always had a good time together, always.
So we are all definitely stunned tonight.... and very sad!
The kids on our street are saying she had a stroke. But her obit asked for donations to the Head Injury foundation in lieu of flowers. Either way, it is unbelievable that such a young, vibrant woman is gone.
Please pray for Freddie and for his dad Ken for strength and peace, and for the repose of Kris's soul.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

I haven't heard anything today but she or someone will let me know when he gets moved to a regular room. Continue good thoughts and prayers for Healing for our Jimmy.

Jiffy's Gramma is still hanging in. She is not altogether sure of her exact plans yet. Jiffy's kids are traveling home tomorrow so as to be at work on Tuesday, I think. Jiffy and Scott's next move is up to the outlook, I guess.

still praying for jimmy and all our forum family. thank you all for the prayers for gramma and us. still needed, she's still with us, but it isn't good.
Diane has asked me to let everyone know that she spoke with Jimmy's grandaughter, Jolene, this morning. Jimmy had been recovering from surgery in ICU these past few days, but he was rushed into emergency surgery this morning for internal bleeding.
That is all we know for now. Jolene will update Diane as soon as she hears anything, and then she or I will let you all know how he's doing.
Please keep your prayers and good thoughts going for our critter keeper! Thanks!
thank you jessica, carol, and all who are praying. just a short update. gramma is not going to make it, but has made it way past the last 3 "expectations". i am still in florida, still helping manage the situation. i am probably going to have to go home for at least a few days, and then return. on a positive note, i have some awesome pictures to share of her yard and gardens when i get time to upload them.
