Well, the Government decided to simply ASK the medical community at large what it thought of economic stimulus?

So... the Ophthalmologists thought it was short-sighted.

The Obstetricians thought they were laboring under a mis-conception.

The Allergists voted to scratch it.

The Dermatologists suggested we not make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had a gut feeling about it but the Neurologists thought the Administration had alot of nerve!

Pathologists got all excited and yelled "Over my dead body!" and Pediatricians remarked "Oh, grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole plan was madness.

The Radiologists said they could see right through it.

Surgeons said it wasn't incisive enough and decided to wash their hands of the entire thing.

Internists chimed in by saying it was a bitter pill to swallow.

While the Podiatrists thought it was a good step forward, Urologists generally said they were pissed off at the whole idea.

The Cardiologists didn't have the heart to vote no.

And I'll let you guess what the Proctologists thought of the people in Washington who kept coming up with such plans!
