I spent my wad, and came home and ate something. Now I am thinking a nap is calling my name. I will be back. I put this in the wrong forum. So moved it my own bad self.

I think the world knows when I am napping. 6 phone calls. Three were from Jonni. And three from others. But in spite of it all, I did nap. At the last one I decided to stay up. I had to turn on a couple of my coolers. In spite of the fact that it is so much cooler than our usual August it is still warm. And now that I topped the trees on the 'sunset' side of the house the sun streams in those windows in the afternoons. I am so loving this weather though. It is welcome to stay right through 'til fall.

Sorry to hear that you have a cold, Carol! I just got over one. It hung on for over a week. Hopefully you get rid of yours faster than that.
My weekend has officially begun!! It is nice to have a long weekend every now and then. I am looking forward to mother and son time the next couple of days!
Round 2 of rain is here! Hopefully it clears up so Tristen and I can enjoy it.
I wonder if Tristen will let me sleep in tomorrow?!?! I really doubt that but it is okay. Our coffee pot stopped working the other day and I haven't been anywhere to get a new one yet. James and I have been stopping on our way to work in the morning and getting coffee. I will miss my coffee tomorrow morning. The closest place to get a coffee is 3 miles from my house so not convenient to just run out in the morning. Tomorrow I will be buying a coffee pot on our school shopping trip. I better add it to my list or I will come home without one. Can somebody make extra for me in the morning??
I kept coffee bags around for just such occasions, Jess. Now I use them almost exclusively. It is just me and the easiest thing to do. And just one garden helper cup to wash.

I guess I should keep that around too. Our coffee pot really isn't that old so we weren't expecting it but it just wouldn't brew the other morning. Guess that is the way it goes.
I think they make them with built in obsolescence these days. I have a couple of coffee makers but I have been using a French press for a few years when I read how much electricity the coffeemakers use. But now it is mostly coffee bags with the press as a back up if I run out.

I just started drinking coffee again. it just seemed too hot this summer! I've been drinking it again for about two weeks. I forgot how good it taste!
I wish my weekend was starting already, jessica. you are fortunate. I feel like hiding in the closet for the next two days until friday night. I could take a pillow and a blanket, my coffee pot, a six pack, some crackers and cheese, some popcorn. YEA! think that'd work?

I am headed to bed. I only got a little done outside today. And tomorrow may not be much better. But I got much accomplished in business today so I'm not going to complain. Good night all.

I cannot sleep---I took a 12 hr sudafed so that I could breath--and while I can now do that--I am wide awake.
he good news is while I still cannot reach behind my back, when I tried to exercise my arm and I can raise it straight up now,---yea!!!---
I will have to tell Rod,--he made me the one piece of equiptment that there is at PT that I could not simulate here at home--(it is a rope on a pully with 2 handles, that I raise my arm up high and straight with).--I have to think that doing that at home helped.
Dante is glad I am awake- it has been raining and thundering for about 45 minutes now, and he is afraid of such as that.--now that I am awake he has relaxed and is once again sleeping.--I am glad for him.

I was up and out of the house early today. I got my business taken care of and out of the way. Now Jonni is gone off to gather her friends together for a day trip into LA. So fun for her. So Ted and I are all alone and happy too. I am just trying to figure out what I really want to do next. I have so many things to choose from......

Tristen and I got our school shopping done. He has enough clothes for a while now. I imagine I will have to get more here and there are the weather changes but we got a good start. My wallet is telling me that I bought a lot anyways. We are both exhausted. Shopping is hard work. I am thinking about a nap but really should get some stuff done around the house.
Hope Jonni has fun in LA. That sounds like fun. I have never been to CA at all much less LA. I would love to visit the area one of these days.
Congrats on being ready for school, Jess. I am thrilled for you because I understand the anxiety and the relief involved. Now I will wish for a cure for the childcare things. How is your weather? Did the expected rain show up? I have been getting little dips and dabs of things done around here. A few shrubs are trimmed. The 'trimmings' are in a tidy pile. Watering is getting accomplished. Trash is down to the dumpster. Mail brought back up and dealt with. A nap fit in there somewhere. And my shade house is mostly picked up. My dog wreaked havoc in there with the stored pots and things trying to catch critters. The critter problem originally chased me out of there as a good place start seeds and cuttings because they were destroying everything before or as it grew. But I am ready to take back my space.

The sun is shining right now Tina but it rained most of the night last night and most of the day today. Hopefully it is done now and Tristen and I can enjoy the amusement park tomorrow. We are playing it by ear.
Sounds like you got a lot done today, Tina. Makes me tired reading everything you do every day.
We have a wedding to go to next Saturday and I was hoping to find something to wear to it when we were shopping today. I did not have any luck. I might end up wearing something that is already in my closet which wouldn't be such a bad thing I guess. I just like getting something new. A person feels so good the first time they wear a nice outfit but I know I already have plenty that I can wear.
New is nice sometimes, too. I was excited because I indulged in a few new t-shirts. My old ones were getting pretty ratty. I really didn't get as much done today as I had hoped to. It just sounds like a lot when I write it down. But as the sun sinks tonight, I hope to get more done. I have a few hours yet before that. And the humidity is to climb the next couple of days. That does me in.
