There are so many different shades to my cleome - I just love how clean and crisp they look!

mine didn't come up this year for some reason. I always have a yard full. Maybe they started and then we had a cold snap. Who knows. I don't love them though.
Lynne, they're so pretty.

Thanks everyone!
Sheri - the one good thing about them is that some people say they smell like skunk, and so the animals leave them alone. The deer also leave them alone because of all the prickers on the stems. I have to remind myself about them from time to time though - OUCHIE!

I've never noticed they smell bad. I meant to write that I DO love them though. Sorry about that.

That's ok, Sheri!
And I never realized the smell/stink either - it's only if I think about it while I'm very close to them that I am aware, but I'm thankful that it seems to repel the animals.

I noticed in the yard yesterday that I have a few that are only about 5 inches tall but with flowers on them. How funny is that.

Actually short ones sound like they may be easier to place in a garden sometimes. I love Mother Nature's whims.

I hope I'll be able to save some seeds from them for next year. Hope springs eternal.
