There is a delay on each calendar sq before kitties appeared for me; some went back to text month while others remained with "kitties" on it. Each month went to appropriate link per month

I changed the script to the same one that changes the buttons on the blue page, but used the same images as with the script from 1999. I will come back and completely remake the calendar later. Its good enuff for right now.... (actually, I just need a change of scenery for a while. ...)
The photo pages that go with the thumb pix on the calendar pages are all in place (I think) I've moved on to my "wood" template. I just tossed my umpteenth "test" and am starting over again. If I wasn't so pig headed, I would have had this on site 3 years ago... This template will be used for the simple subject pages like "pansy". I need to fix some gaps, smudges and squishit issues before it is ready. http://www.thegardenhelper.com/planting.html
It worked for me Bill. and all of the links I tried worked too. I do have a little question. On your home page it says to click on the gnome to get 'home' again. And up there by the home button and title there is a little gnome that doesn't link. Is it supposed to?

Thank you for the reminder! I AM supposed to link every gnome to the home page. Sometimes I get a little distracted and forget stuff like that. I'll go fix it now and check any others... Thank you!
I think I got all the "gnome Home" links fixed now. All my Christmas Cookies will be put on pages like this. Wendy is supposed to be sitting on the ad box with her legs hanging down over the front edge of the box. Is she there or hovering above or?

I get a White Blank page when I click on that link

I see the receipe and Wendy is sitting properly but the 250.00 Nieman Marcus Cookie banner is over the receipe... love the page though- good colors ... Nana

I have Firefox and Neiman Marcus is positioned above the recipe, BTW when I click on the Wendy she takes me to the Home page where Willy floats forward It's all good from where I sit

So you don't think that Willy and I got lost or ran away or something.... We are starting over on the TGH makeover again from scratch, using a whole new program writing system (Fireworks). Hopefully I picked a good program because it cost 20 times what my original html editor cost! Hopefully, this should eliminate all the browser and system based issues about objects wandering, squishability and most importantly, coding correctness. The only trouble is that I have to learn lots of new alien stuff and my brain keeps resisting.... I'm too old to have to start thinking again!
well Bill, I do not know if you have changed anything with this new program or not--but I will say that starting with tonight I can see all of a page on my monitor (17 inch) without scrolling side to side--

It may look the same (basically), but down inside it was remade again. The coding is stable enough now that I can add a couple bangles before moving back to the next template. I ended up using Adobe Dreamweaver to help with reconstructing my obsolete coding. It's awesome! but my brain still hurts... Template #1 revisited: http://www.thegardenhelper.com/test
yea what Tina said----and I want to thank you for taking such good care of all of us. I think I can speak for the lot of us when I say we appreciate it very much.

Another very important step in making web pages is to make sure that the pages will be viewed reasonably well in a wide range of browsers and operating systems. Way back when I made the original pages I only had IE and Navigator, which "usually" let the pages show. This time around, I found a site which let me check my pages on 60 different OS/browser combinations from different parts of the world... when you can connect to them. (some going back to I.E. 2.0 on an early Windows sys.) The results I got with my "correctly coded and validated" page showed me that no matter how hard I try, my pages will probably never be visible to everyone, everywhere, all the time.
For my own amusement I ran 6 TGH pages including the Forum through the system. A couple results made me LOL so I thought someone else might enjoy a giggle as well. I put together a slide show with 180 of the results. It takes a minute or two to load but then you can just click the auto-go button, sit back and have a This won't be a permanent page.... its not even a page for that matter... just a temporary boredom breaker
the orange bars on the side panels of the thumbs are forward/backward buttons and there is a run show button (small white circle just outside the top right corner of the thumb bar)....
I spent today learning and trying to write my first javascript..... well, actually I WROTE my very first javascript today... it just doesn't work yet

Either my page has had a massive growth spurt, or Willy has become the Incredible Shrinking gnome... Fix a bug... find a bug... fix a bug... find two bugs Such are the ways of the gnomes...
