Bar b: I have no idea what James' advice will b e,---but----my kids had me go to using "windows mail" and I did that back when I had dial-up.
It is just as easy to use as Outlook Express was and I have not had any problems with it since I switched.

Windows mail is apparently in the Windows Operating System someplace???--came with the computer, so nothing ot download & add??? So the capabilities should be someplace on your computer.
???

and the best part???...I got to keep my e-mail address that I had before (from my server) thumbup

I only use Thunderbird anymore (have since several years back); Windows comes with a mail client named "Outlook Express" that's "ok" (though no longer shipps with windows as of Windows 7).

If the message lays music, delete it?

I have windows--Vista Home Addition and I have "Windows Mail"

I did have Outlook Express (what Barb is complaining about) but as I was having problems with it,
the girls got rid of it, and made Windows Mail my e-mail program (somehow or another) to use in its place---but I AM sure it came with the Vista Operating System.

and like I said I didn't have to get another e-mail address either.--so that made it simple. My server still supplies all of my e-mail to this program and services it as well--just as if it were Outlook Express.--without the problems OE had.

Well, yeh, the mail program doesn't matter, uses technologies provided by the mail server to pull/push email messages (some mail clients leave mail on the mail server as well).
