I just heard from Cindy. She sounded weak but good.
She wanted me to go get on the forum and tell everyone she was ok but that she was weak. She does not have the strength to get on the forum as often as she would like. She said she wanted us to know that she appreciates all of our prayers. I told her we would keep them up.

I also told her we understood that she could not contact us as much as she would like & that when she was feeling better she would have plenty of time to sit and get in touch with us. :wink:

(As I remember she will have lots of time where pretty much all she gets to do is sit--and it is then that she will need us to be there for her.)

I just spoke to Cindy---

she is in severe pain--she said please she needs her friends now more than ever.

Please pray for her. She is scared that she will have to go back to the Hospital.
((I think at least a visit to her surgeon's office may not be a bad idea if only to have her anxieties relieved.))
She asks that we pray that she does not have to go back to the hospital.

She was going to try to settle down & rest for a bit, after we hung up. Rachel is going to call her back in an hour or so, to see how she is---so she will be taken care of, we need not worry about that.

if/when I hear from her again, I'll be sure to post it.

Praying for cindy to have less pain an more comfor t.

I didn't go to the hospital and didn't call my doctor...and got a good "talking to" about that (and other stuff) from Rachel.
I have been doing things I am not supposed to do....
...and I have to stop, because if I don't it's going to end up killing me.

I promised Rachel I would be good.

Now I am going to go work on some Christmas cards and be a good girl.

I have been where you are my friend, and it is hard to not do things, but the alternative is worse than doing something you are not supposed to "just this once"--after re-doing the incisional hernia surgery 2 times,---with the third surgery I learned that to wait & be good is the best course of action.
Please learn from me and do less than is even necesary.

Doing less than is allowed is not going to hurt but
doing more than is recommended could hurt.

Hernias?????? DIdnt know that was the thing you had Cindy?
My sis was nasty like you are . She had about 3 operations different times, but she didnt LISTEN......
Her's mas close to the belly button an they had to put mesh on it to hold it from popping....
She was not to lift for quite a while.. SHe didnt listen till it popped again......Some how that can kill you if it breaks.

Better listen .

barb, NO, I had the hernias not Cindy----the surgery I had to fix my mess was somewhat like the surgery that Cindy had. Different reasons sorta the same type of fix.

and barb, I did next to nothing lifting wise for more than 7 months.---

I had a hernia fixed this year......nuttin' to it. I now have an abdominal wall that is partially plastic mesh.

Sis had it done 3 times. Till they put mesh in an told her to listen. Guess she is ok.

She kept lifting babies an kept tearing it.

Glad you listened.

Now get after these girls.

My hernias were "incisional hernias"--where the hernia is caused from an old surgery, say a C-Section, that rips open. Mine was a hysterectomy that never healed, (on top of 2 c-sections) then the 2 repairs failed--mostly failed because of the lack of care in the hospital & then I got up from my low couch too often but I was given no precautions when I left the hospitals none of the 3 times. I had to learn the hard way.---but the last surgeon agrees with me when I said I thought that I left the hospital after the 2nd hernia repair already messed up.

the last Dr/surgeon was great !!! and so were all the other Drs & nurses that took care of me--I was taken care of so well--it was great !!!--well for a hospital stay.

first time they just sewed me back up, second time they sewed and put a 6 inch circle of mesh--the last time they put a huge mesh roll that encompased my whole abdomen. The miracles of modern science
