Good morning Tina---and that is entirely too kind of you really yo could keep the storms. just a few hours north they had ice last night. They can keep that too. Merme yep a tropical heat wave. everyonme is hurredly washing the salt off of their cars in preparation for the next round. about the fog. Rod came across a jack-knifed tractor trailor yesterday morning. so as he has several alternate routes figured out to work for such occasions, he just took one. well, the fog was so thick, he missed his exit . long story short, he was late to work. Not a good thing to do at a place that has just laid off it's second person in 2 weeks. Luckily he has not ever done that before in the 3 years he has worked there.

I truly would keep them and only send these things where they are needed, if I could. Mother Nature has a mind of her own (she is a female, you know?). I have been getting ready for the worst of the storms. And I am still having fun doing it. A lot of work but working towards a purpose is invigorating, sort of.

Heating up leftovers for my dinner tonight. Seems that Bill has safely gone and come home again, which is good. We had snow all day although the forecaster said it would not be in our area! I've got Maxi's dress clothes all ready for tomorrow. Now I just have to figure out what I have to wear! Merme

I got to sleep too. About a half hour ago, I woke up to the phone. It was an automated phone call---and one that there was not an appropriate response to chose from.----so now I am up---but it was nice while it lasted. Glad that you got to sleep in for once, Tina.

Ugggggh... while it's a pretty, sunny day here, although pretty cold, my nose is pouring like a faucet!!! WHERE did THAT come from?!? I had wanted to go out this morning, but I can't leave my tissue box and waste basket! Thankfully I don't have to go out - looks like a day of reading and rest.

Hi all, Sorry you feel so yucky- allergies or a cold? Hope it goes away soon for you... no fun.. It's cold here today- storm on it's way from Tina I think... mtns are to get snow but we wont' get any they say- just cold and damp.... it's 39* right now and feels much colder when you get out in it-- just picked up Nicoli.. we are having hot choc soon as his bros get here... he is tired today - told me he just wants to rest till they get here... do hope it's not the start of another bug for them.... I took our my chicken to cook and part of the pkgs froze so thawing it out a little before I start it-- having oven on will warm the house too... got about 15 lbs of thighs to cook... oven baked... will be dinner and several more for us... I was up early today and did all the house stuff- got last of laundry in dryer now... ran the dishwasher too... even read a while.... kind of a lazy slow day for me.... Well off to get tea kettle before it blows it's top... Have a good evening all Nana

Wow, you've had a very busy day for a "slow" day, Nana Sherri. I get tired just reading of all you do!! We had a busy day (for us), getting all dressed up and going all the way to Portland, then having to wait so long for our ride home. But we were very happy at the pleasant weather and enjoyed being out and about in the sunshine. Now I gotta think of something for dinner because I just plain forgot about it until now! Lynne I hope your runny nose isn't a sign of things to come but a condition unto itself for just today. Merme

YooHoo, Carol Jean ~ I meant to tell you this last night and forgot. I haven't had parsley buttered potatoes since I was a kid. My school used to serve them regularly but it wasn't something my mom made. If you know how to make them, would you post the recipe down in recipes for me? Thanks. I would love to revisit that old treat. Merme

Ah, this is the back end of the 'worst' storm and just unstable with thunder and lightning. It wasn't as bad in my area as predicted so it is good. Another gentler storm is to move through tomorrow and leave us a little water. Then we get a break until Tuesday.

So far I have measured 9 3/4 inches of rain in my coffee can from Monday through today. That is not the possible 20 we could have gotten. I'm good with that. And no damage to my home or yard areas. I will have some unwanted ditches to fill in in my dirt road.

Not in our town. But I kept Ted home the last two days and I am not sure about tomorrow yet. It depends on the morning weather and tonight's forecast. We have two ways to leave my area and the road is flooded in one direction. So tomorrow just depends.....

Good morning. Although I will go back to bed in a while. I am not finding my weather difficult at all, Carol. I am thoroughly enjoying myself. I just wish it hadn't been damaging to others. I got up to put wood on the fires. So figured I would come in and check the online weather.

Hi everybody! I've been watching the weather for California on our morning news. I hope everyone stays safe. And certainly AZ got whacked with strange weather! We are so glad it is the end of the week. Maxi has this last day of school and I have my last day of dialysis and then we get WEEKEND, YAY! Merme

I spent the day yesterday working on my Bird Feeder. I got a lot done, but today I am paying the price with swollen joints, and lots of aches and pains. I still have a long way to go, but at least if it happens to snow again my bird friends will now have a nice dry place to dine!

That is wonderful, Bill. I don't feed birds. At least not store bought food. There is a lot of natural forage for them here. I have fruit and nuts and seeds for them on the trees. And they are welcome to any bugs that suit their fancy.

today I am paying the price with swollen joints, and lots of aches and pains. I'm so sorry about this, Bill. I still have a long way to go, but at least if it happens to snow again my bird friends will now have a nice dry place to dine! But this is truly wonderful! Good job well done! Merme

But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
