very pretty center pieces. I have a pitiful empty vase with little hearts on it sitting on a little heart shaped plate. I've got to get some flowers to put in my vase. I'm waiting until the rain stops.

Well, I don't have the pix but I have two ideas for centerpieces... These are great for children, families, and can even be a lot of fun at parties! Oh and what a boost of self esteem especially in teens..
One is use a paper tablecloth that you can get at the party-store and in the middle of the table a large bowl of crayons, stamps, stickers, etc. that you can use to write little love notes and picture to the ones you love!
The second is for older children- adults you have some small pieces of paper stacked in a small pretty container a larger container in the middle and another smaller container on the other side filled with pens… You can then fill the large containers filled with love notes or notes of loving appreciation.

oh yea  I had forgotten, sorry. so does your DH get to eat the chocolates??? and yes, I too think next year their wives should get nothing. shame on them !!! Those flowers are beautiful !!! we have 2 larger chain grocery stores here that deal in flowers. They do a beautiful job, don't they???

Nah, I'll eat them anyway  I'll just take a Benydril. Yup, you buy them seperately $10 for lillies(4 stems), $5 for tulips or carnation bunches, then $5 for the greenery. Then she bunches them up for you and wraps them. So for $25 you get a beautiful bouquet.

well it is beautiful !1 and don't those ladies know that you catch more flys with sugar then with vinegar ??? I am sure that today you are VERY popular with DH's co-workes, and that Carey is feeling very proud that you are HIS wife & that he is not married to one of them. Ya know sometimes stuff like this is good. it makes the guys realize what/who they have.

ah well, then that is the one excuse I would take. It is so cool to have things delivered to work. not that I would know personally... but I did/do get flowers delivered to me at ceramics on my birthday--from my brother. That is cool too.
