 Good morning, everybody! I'm getting fresh air also, Tam. They have forecast a 10 inch snowfall for us today along the coast. The clouds rolled in all day yesterday so I didn't get to see the pretty moon Diane told me about! I hate to miss a pretty moon shining somewhere.

Ya there's a storm brewing, I'm sure it'll miss us. I measured this morning and I am down to 5 inches of snow in the yard. I have to now try shovel later to keep my strawberry bed covered...i'm just bewildered on our winter. How do you go from snow to the roof every year...to snow not covering the plants another?

I know, Tam, it is really concerning how little snow you've gotten. I wonder how your water table will make out with such a small snowfall?

That's what we all worry about...the wells and rivers are going to run low this year....and if it gets too cold soon then we'll end up with alot of damage from 'frost kill' to the fields.

Merme *praying for snow for Tam*  I just started to make a cup of instant coffee and when I added the powder, the coffee burst up and spewed all over the counter, floor, and aimed for my lap but I rolled back fast!  That is only the second time in my life I've had coffee explode like that. Spooky. Merme

What is so peculiar to me, Tam, is that since I started dialysis two years ago, I have not been allowed to eat wheat or whole grain breads... only plain old white! My least favorite!
Dietary restrictions can be such a headache to work out.
I am all caught up again in the Olympics. Man, I love watching the games.

I don't watch the Olympics..I only like sports if I'm doing it myself.
I hate whole grain bread...I bought a bun, made one sandwich and fed the rest of the loaf to the cows. I so crave sandwiches now.

Some multi-grain breads are so loaded with stuff that it is like eating grasses! We love watching the Olympics. We get so engrossed in the stories, we end up rooting for nearly everybody! We want everyone to do well, having worked so hard to get there! Merme

It started "snowing" here around 11. I put it that way because we get a short snow squall and then it stops. Then it starts again. The pavement is wet but there doesn't seem to be any accumulation yet and they were forecasting 10 inches today!
I also got news today that Maxi's Confirmation will most likely be in May... we are talking about the 23rd.

Pentecost Sunday, Right merme ?? That will be a nice time. and as an added bonus, the weather will be nice too.  about the snow---we have been having that--it snows it stops, it snows it stops. and in between it is windy & we have sun.---Most the days, lately, they get the forcast right, just NOT the timing of it.

Ours used to be the week before palm sunday--now it is amyones guess when they have it. if I didnt know better, I would say that pastor just abstractly decides when to have it.

Well, for us it always depends on the Bishop's schedule since he is the one who does Confirmation. So, as he travels throughout the diocese to all the parishes, people make their plans for Confirmation and Reception into the Church. Confirmation on Palm Sunday is nice but he can't be in 69 Parishes on the same Sunday and because our state is so large, it would be unreasonable to expect people to travel so far....
I'm tickled pink because if Maxi is Confirmed on May 23rd, he will be Confirmed in the same parish church I was Confirmed in when he was just a wee one! It is a lovely place, up north of us on the coast.

Not yet! We are just now today nailing down the details. But I DID buy a pretty Confirmation decoration for the celebration afterward! And, I'm ordering him a beautiful volume of the prayer book w/ hymnal inside... in red leather w/ his name embossed on it. Fortunately he's got that beautiful lambs wool blazer, dress pants, dress shoes and dress socks already from all our visiting Cheverus. He'll just have to decide on shirt color and tie.

I'd love to be able to attend a workshop of some kind Carol. The only thing going on in our area is a T.O.P.S. program....it's a weight loss group~I should join anyway...not like I couldn't lose a few pounds.
