wow, it is really getting bad out there!

Maxi's dad just called to talk to me about taking Maxi out and up to town with the weather this bad. I told him the event hadn't been canceled, but it was entirely up to him whether or not he wanted to drive in this mess! Personally, I do not think it is worth risking life and limb. So, I don't think they'll be going. Christine will make pancakes & sausages at their house and there will be another time Maxi can help the Dean burn palms.



We're in a whiteout down here and I've heard the sand trucks go by several times on their way out to the big roads. The sand trucks and plows park in a big facility at the other end of my road, so we hear when they get sent out.

Yes, they decided to stay in even though the event wasn't canceled. We were in whiteout down here (17 miles away) and they were in whiteout up there (6 miles away) and none of us thought it was worth the risk.

I myself do not have to go out until 11 AM tomorrow morning and I hope by that time they've shoveled my walkway and that my girl gets here to groom it a little better for my chair.


The storm is affecting my digital phone and cable service, too.

Well supposedly it will be ok here for a few days, then it will sprinkle snow on friday. Now, COLD is the watch word.

I think I will stay at home tomorrow & order out of the catalog.

Yep, I need a new mattress pad and I would like a new rug for i n front of the couch in the living room. Then there is the hand mixer dilemma.

Shipping is free again right now, so that is my motivation.

Busy on the phone all ready this morning.

I'm not much of a phone person...that old telemarketer job did me in for using any phone

I hate using the phone for business first thing in the morning.


Oh I tried telemarketing when I was young and hated it! I was supposed to sell Dinner Club Cards as a Christmas gift promotion. Trouble was, they gave me B in the phone book and I'm telling ya, every B I called in the city was either very poor OR was having some crisis!

I had to take the job(to pay my moms bills) because my mom lost hers and was going to end up living here. She needed grade 12 to work at the telemarketing firm. So I worked there for a bit til she found another job. It was stressful and annoying...Hi I'm Tamara calling for Trendwest...bla bla bla.

Good morning. It is reply and run for me today. It has been busy around here already.

I made some homemade bread yesterday tamara. it had dill and onion in it. it turned out a bit heavy, but very good flavor.

I won't be on much for the next two weeks...something happened and apparently 3/4 of the months GB usage is gone already. I don't understand how 2 weeks of just chatting here could do that...I asked a question in the Gizmo forum, hope I can get this explained and/or figured out...

Well, I've been hanging around all evening just in case somebody dropped in. I guess everyone was too glued to the Olympic coverage? I've been tuned in also and we sure had some exciting achievements and astonishing defeats.


I have much business to take care of tomorrow morning, so I probably won't be on first thing.

sorry Merme, I was not watching the Olympics, I was half-sleeping on the couch--
and watching a public televison show about the national parks. It was quite interesting.
