OH Barb, it is beautiful !!! I had one of them at my old home. We got it as a wedding present. it was 25+ years old when we moved. IT it was also about 6-7 feet tall & as I had no place for it, and no one to give it to, I had to toss it out. tears
That really hurt and seeing yours brought it all back. Please care for yours for me. thumbup

Very nice...I have one here about 4 feet tall, I have to keep cutting it back. It's the toughest plant I've ever owned...my sis-in-law gave it to me when it got to spindly. I cut it back and it just flourished.

Sorry about your plant Carol~you should buy another. Plants for wedding gifts? that's the best thing I've ever heard flwr

yep, Tamara--we also were given a beautiful large False Aralia (Dizygotheca elegantissima). But I managed to kill it thru neglect. Now there is a plant I would love to own again one day.

I have one of those also but it's not doing well, don't think it likes the heat or the no himidity in here. I bought it at Wal-Mart, they have lots of plants there for a few dollars.

I'd send you one but don't think it would pass through customs~looks too much like the 'pot of choice for some' lol

Might go back next week for one for my sis. Right now the white out blizzard is here an my yard is 4 ft drifts again.

Yes I read the Scheff. can be cut back any time an it regrows again.. The one I bought 8 years ago for my sis funeral, her son took home an loved it .

You can send to Canada but Canada can't send to you. Plants and seeds are not allowed to pass through customs....I've had many envelopes destroyed.

Oh . . . schleferra - nice one, Dodge.

I've got a small one going too - it's only about 2 inches tall right now, but I have big hopes for it.

Mine started out as a 1 inch plant in a 2 inch liner. I have to keep cutting it back because it grows taller that my house now. I don't want it growing up under my roof tiles and lifting them. They can take a lot of cutting. And the growing tips will root fairly easily. I have shared a lot of rooted cuttings.

I put it in the office window - had 'er covered loosely with a fruit bag, just to keep warm. It seems to be doing ok.

I had a big one somebody brought home for me, but it eventually died - dunno' why. Some bug, I guess.

There's nice once you get them going - nice fill for a lobby or any large room.

Thanks for this post and i think that this may help in many ways. I like if anyone give me suggestion about fashion or boots.

Sorry James...not much talk on fashion or boots here...unless it's about rubber boots and gardening gloves
