I don't remember seeing that first pic in the BH but it's gorgeous. The way the red berries are showing through the snow - great photography. And cardinals are always beautiful but with the dove peeking out it's great. I think you should submit it somewhere.

Good Picture Sheri! I got a picture of a cowbird yesterday Just haven't loaded it yet. I watched A mockingbird chase away Cedar wax wings today from a berry bush at work,, the mockingbird was furious,, literally Squawking at it and diving towards it~ the cedarwax wings finally gave up on that bush

Mockingbirds Hiss and Growl when they attack. Mockingbirds like fruit so this Mockingbird was driving the Waxwings away from "HIS" food!

This was yesterday but I didn't get a chance to get on here and share it until now. When I got home from work yesterday the first thing I noticed was a flock of crows. They were dive bombing and trying to scare off, what I believe, was a hawk. It was too small to be an eagle. Whatever it was it was something that the crows didn't like but it wasn't too bothered with them. The second thing I noticed was this little pop sound. At first I thought maybe my neighbor had a weird car alarm beep but then I realized that it was followed by a shrillish chirping sound. I looked up and saw a hummingbird on my neighbors roof, he turned toward the sun and I saw his beautiful red neck. Then he shot up in the air, hovered there for a minute, swooped back down, made his little pop noise, landed and did his chirp thing again. He did this four or five times before I saw him wrestling with another hummingbird before they both flew off. I have never seen that before, but I have read about the Anna's hummingbirds doing that. I looked it up and sure enough I had witnessed him performing his display. Now I need to carry a video camera around with me.
Plant smiles, grow giggles, harvest love.

Cheryl isn't it fun when you see something you've never witnessed before in nature?? Like the scissor tail here they make Loops in flying in their mating ritual,, It's awesome to see! This is what I saw this week,,the pink beak leads me to believe this is a junco?? woodpecker cowbird and Mr. Finch
