Another busy evening has sped by. sigh. After I switched to digital phone about 4 years ago, I was very unhappy to discover that one loses phone service when one loses power! Ya just gotta keep a land line in the house. I said something to the company about that and their reply was everybody has a cell phone these days! *I don't* Carol, Maxi's Confirmation is May 23rd. If you Google Portland Head Light, you will see the beautiful coastal park where we are having the celebration. Portland Head Light is the oldest lighthouse in the country as it was commissioned by George Washington in 1791 (I think that's the date). It is my favorite lighthouse. You could probably also find it by Googling Ft. Williams, Maine as that is the State Park where the Head Light is located.

Morning, everybody! A pretty day here and it is my day off! YAY! All I must do is make a series of business phone calls.... no running all over creation. I can clean up the house, putter around, make a nice dinner. Hooray! An easy day is a good thing because I haven't been able to tolerate sitting in my wheel chair for more than an hour at a time as I've been having such fierce back pain again. Off to stretch out for a bit!

I got up cold from my nap. Now I am looking for a sweatshirt to wear. I even turned the oven on and thought about dinner. br-r-r! Plans for Maxi's Confirmation celebration and event itself are coming along nicely and now I'm anxious for the day to arrive! Maxi owns one of those canvas fold-up chairs. His is red, and has a canopy. I'm not telling him, but I am taking it with us to the park. I will decorate it for him... a king for the day chair. He will love that! One of my friends is bringing a "box of Joe" and that'll make it so much easier than me making pots & pots of coffee and filling then transporting the big thermoses. My coffeepot is quite small and it would take forever to make enough that way. I think we are expecting about 20.

Uh Oh--the rain just began to pour--and the thunder has come with it---so if I suddently go, you now know the reason why.  we have a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 7:30--17 more minutes..

I try to plan a nap into each day. I do not always follow my plans. Sometimes I sit here and play games instead. But down time is good too. It is too hot in the afternoons to work outside so a nap is good.
I wish I was getting rain though.

Yup because of our freezing winters..diff colors for diff temps. I wish I could nap in the day..I think I'd feel better.

Yep---DH naps in the day & has NO trouble sleeping at night--If I Nap, then I am up half the night--and sad to say there are lots of time I would LOVE to nap & sometimes I do anyway then just stay up.
