A farmer from 45 minutes away just landed to look at our cows..it's 10pm.

why would he do that this late--are your calves for sale????
perhaps he wants first pick????

DH just landed in..the guy wants to buy all three of last years calves.

DH is keeping last years female but told him he'd sell the two little bulls if the $ was right, he's coming back tomorrow night

Apparently we have the only known 'clean meat' in the area..no chemicals or pesticides or such. He wants first pick every year he said....

Morning all, freezing out today..High of (8*C) 46*F, we also had frost this morning.

I started my computer and my 'bookmark' thingy is missing off my Firefox page..I couldn't get in anywhere because I can't remember my passwords and can't find my paper Found a fix, if you press the button 'ALT' and the letters VTM it restores it.

Not much planned for today besides housework, more laundry and a good scrubbing and mopping. Took me most of the day to re-organize DD's room, so much baby stuff everywhere

Maxi got off to school on time .... the remaining days of the year are dwindling down.

He also received his Summer Reading List from his new high school, two books which are required for all freshmen. I will get them after we get back from Washington, when the reading log is available on-line, and get him started.

Today he will be making his last Presentation about the trip and then we are going to buy him a new pair of sneakers. His current pair are so worn out there is no way he can walk all over Washington in them!

Tam that is very good news about the buyer for the cows but uh, couldn't he have come a little earlier in the day?

The buyer said he came earlier and was pulling in the yard when his wife called and said she was locked out of the house so he had to drive home and drive back..he would have been here at 8pm he said.

Tell Maxi we share his 'last days' I remember they seemed to drag on so slow..new sneakers sound great.

How silly to lock herself out of the house! But I've done that myself!

Last week at the PTO meeting, they were talking about the last day of school & mentioned that someone from the staff had left already. Then someone quipped that most of the students had already "left" as well --- at least mentally! So when Maxi stood up to speak, they asked if he had left yet? and I said "only about half of the time!"

I can remember sitting in class and looking out the window with such longing!

My kid has big feet. Size 12 already and wide.

Size 12 wow, you're gonna have some expensive shoe buying in the near future if it keeps up.

I think all awards should be given the last day instead of the week before. That would at least give the kids something to do. Everyone is just marking time on the last day.

I am having a very slow start to my day, but I am getting organized for Washington. And, I'm still working on papers for his new high school.

Paperwork... it never seems to end!

Paperwork paperwork paperwork. Whatever happened to our paperless society? Even in the hospital when things are done on the computer a print out is made. My school system is supposed to be paperless but when I type an Individual Health Plan on my computer and put it in School Files I still have to make a copy for the notebook, one for the cummulative record, one for the teacher and one for the folder that stays in the health room. Paperless?

Paperless! I feel for you, Sheri, I really do. It makes no sense to have it all in the computer AND so many paper copies hither tither and yon.

I do not recall my parents maintaining such large files in our home as I must do today.

And like the medical field, I think schools go way crazy with papers.

Sometimes I think my apt is drowning in the flood of papers we receive!

You said it Merme and Sheri, every receipt and paper has to be kept..for future reference. Sure is a pain and a mess.

I got a small 8 x 6 spiral notebook & have been compiling all the trip facts and figures into it. Places, addresses, phone numbers, driving directions, details, details, details. Better have it all in one place rather than on 1,000 bits of paper scattered on my desk!

Oh I'm a notebook person also....partly because I'd forget my head if it wasn't attached to my neck

Well it has stopped raining..chilly and very windy out but it'll due. maybe it'll dry out the soil enough so I can plant seeds this week

Hospital called, my grandfather is up walking around and doing great . Only his children are allowed to visit and the dummies(family)never put me on the list again. They know that out of all the grandchildren I am as close to them as their own child I am not impressed.

On another note, house is back in tip-top shape and everything is back in it's place..now to figure out what to make for supper...
