Pretty stuff, Tamara. The weevils left you some mighty pretty flowers! I have never had anything eat my columbines (knocking on wood here).

It is really kind of pretty. I have seen similar bugs around. Maybe I have seen these. Do they chomp your plants the whole season? Or just in spring? Do the columbine have an opportunity to recover?

They'll be here til the fall, and every year they eat all the columbine leaves and the next year the columbines grow right back..it's strange, they touch nothing else and won't eat the columbine flowers either. I don't buy columbines anymore..the flowers are pretty but having no leaves makes them look straggly.

hey, if your gonna lose it it sure would not hurt to try doing that with a piece, right??? ]and so you know, I brought my chives form the farm in a ot. put it o=in out baseemtn by a window & basically forgot about it. I may have watered it like 2 or 3 times tops in all of that time. I think it was over a year. when I finally had my veggie garden I p[lanted it & it lived. and is doing well yet today!!!
