They arent exactly cheap here either.

I did one side last 2 years , did the last one this year. Quite price all at once , an I get discouraged. Sometime.

OK Thanks for the complements on the pastel pavers. I have NO idea where they came from originally. when we bought this house, the realtor said she thought a bed out back wound eb nice & her son had bricks that he would let me "have" so I got the ones that originally just edged teh mulched area.

Then 2 years later I bought enough of them from the same guy to do the rocked area.--later I tried to buy some more & he is paving his whole driveway with them--about 1/2 mile--so no more of those pavers for carol.

I have a notion to take them with me if/when I leave. But I will have to replace them--and that wil be expensive.

Barb--I LOVE your landscaping......the red work really well with the plants

Your welcome--and yes cheap is good.
all the "bricks" for the whole edging was $20.00.
the 1 foot square pavers were $1.00 each.--
I bought the rock a few bags a year.

and yes we all gotta do what we gotta do.

here are some photos of my wooded area. The part you can get to relatively easily lol,

The plan for this area is to select cut the trees. Use the downed trees for compost, mulch and fire wood. Then plant nut trees, bay laurels, and flowering trees like magnolia, crepe myrtle, and pink dogwood.

When I win the lottery I'd like to add a babbling brook and gazebo so I can enjoy the shade.
