It does rhyme, Tamara. I think your dealership could and should have called you yesterday with an update, Cheryl. I worked around outside this morning and then paid my bills, went to the bank to make sure those bills are covered and stopped by Walmart and the post office. I came home and fed my face and Teddy. I'm thinking a nap is edging up on me.

Waiting for my dinner to cook, such as it is.... I never do much when Maxi isn't here. Yes, Tam, that is my plan.... to donate bunches and bunches so I don't have much to move. I hate moving!

Tonight I got impatient to have my shower. Most often I wait until my Weekday Girl is here but not now. I was itchy and twitchy and decided to hop in on my own. Plus, I'm in love with my favorite lemon grass soap! I finished reading Little Women. I think that was the umpteenth time I've read it but at least not in recent memory. It is still a good yarn. Maxi has been patiently waiting all month long for a delivery of special vampire fangs he ordered on-line. Today I went on the site to see what I could find out about why the order was delayed. The reason? He hadn't clicked on the last button that would have authorized paypal to pay the order! He wouldda been waiting a very long time for that order to arrive! So, I clicked on the last button, authorized the payment & got an immediate confirmation email. I think he will be delighted when the fangs arrive in about a week. Dunno why he wants them so, but they are Retractable! I'm glad you had a nice time, Carol. And Tam, I understand something of your impatience.

Good morning. S lept in this morning also. I have however been up for an hour. Yesterday I felt pretty good, today stiff again. it is only 84 right now, I am glad to say. High today is supposed to only be 91. if only. also each night my weather app on here says that it will storm/rain the next day, and each next day it is sunnuy. I have not been watering, assuming the rains would come.--You watch, I will water tonight & it will for sure rain tomorrow. Company gone this morning--BUT next FRiday my nephew is coming thru with his family---he and his wife have 3 kids---They will spend the night here at our house so they can visit with Grandma. One of these weekends I want to go to Tennessee. We go to Union City and sometimes to Reelfoot Lake. We like the restaurant at Reelfoot. At Union City Rod likes a black powder store there & I really like one of the restaruants there. yea I know--a common theme here--Food I used to get to go over on the ferry at Hickman but last I heard it was not running.

I am sorry you are stiff, Carol. Nothing is different on those days that you can put your finger on? I am stiff every morning (arthritis) but it is worse on cool, damp ones so winter is not always my friend. After I work the kinks out, I am good. Our high today is to be 84*. I cannot believe how lucky I have been weather-wise. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

naw Tina, it is all of the surgeries & compression fractures I have had. I am probably bending/doing more that I should but it is all part of life after all. Then there is the fact that we need a new mattress set but that will not happen anytime soon. sorry about your arthritis that has got to be bad.

No, Carol. I was diagnosed with the creeping crud at age 17. It is creeping but I still work and do as much as possible to keep as limber as possible. I feel I am in very good shape at almost 60. I do get frustrated with the things I can no longer do sometimes. The fine motor skills have left the building. But I keep my weight under control so as to keep my feet an knees as least stressed as possible. It is a workable thing for me.

Hi everyone, another day at work for me. Not doing too much today. My oxygen guy is here servicing our machines so I just get to hang out in case he needs me for anything. I have two books ready to pick up at the library, I can't remember what one of them is about. I must have requested it some time ago which means it must be pretty popular. I'm often not handling our household changes as well as I'd like. I'll get there, it's just going to take me longer than everyone else to get there. Once we establish a new routine I'll be better. I like routines and don't always do well with changes that deviate from a routine I'm used to. I'm still waiting on a phone call, I may need to call her again. The girls are marching in a parade tonight with their cheerleading team. They are part of a neighborhood cheerleading team, they're hoping to try out for high school cheerleading later this year. Grandma is looking forward to seeing them in the parade. Aros and I aren't going. I'll drop them off but I can't deal with 10,000 people trying to find parking around road closures, etc. We can't all fit in my car for us all to be able to go anyway. I did look up the road closures so that I can get the girls to where they need to be without too much hassle. It'll be nice for me and Aros to have some time alone anyway.

I am starting to feel encouraged about the mountain of work facing me w/ this move. Fortunately, though, I have a girl now who understands what needs done & doesn't mind helping at all. Unfortunately, she is leaving at the end of August. (to a better job w/ bigger pay). Tomorrow we are clearing some unused space in Maxi's room & using that for staging the packed boxes out of the way. Right now they are in the living room & that makes it hard to get around in my wheel chair. Stashing the filled boxes will be better! Now, to find a place to live. Dinner won't be ready for a while yet as I have to wait for the chicken to cool before I can make the chicken salad, so I gotta find something to snack on as I don't eat lunch on dialysis days & come home starving! Merme *the starved waif*

Hi all..went to throw in wood for my mother today.
They 'chip sealed' the roads there..meaning they are too cheap to pave it so they smother it with tar then rake crush rock over it and wait for the cars and traffic to pack it down...needless to say I just spent a couple of hours taking tar off our truck. I'll not be driving that way for awhile.
Tired but still have clothes to fold and dishes to do. Back later.

sorry about that Tamara. they do that with oil here. back in the day thery would not pyt much rock on & we would end up like you---with a full days work ot do on out cars/trucks. But of late they put a lot of rock dopwn. it looks a lot like blacktop in front of our house right now. I so wish they would widen our road a bit--there is the room but they will not---

Bad part is I cleaned the truck but there was some in the tires, DH just went for a quick trip to a friends house..yup, just got in from cleaning again I am going to take the truck for a drive in the a.m. on the old dirt road..very slowly..it should dirt up the tar in the tires so it'll stop splattering. I was all showered and all dirty once more..good thing we don't have to pay for water, there's days where I end up with 3 showers.

Rain & T-storms are forecast for tonight but nothing so far. I feel cold and tired so I'm thinking about making a fresh pot of coffee. I am reading Sense & Sensibility and might be up a while yet.

Good evening! Yep, I'm still up. Not sleeping well lately. Nothing is yet set in stone with the kids and I don't know how to process all the changes around here. I'm mess lately. I'm a very routine oriented person, I like plans, lists, daily routines. Everything is chaotic right now, especially with MIL here. I'm wigging out a little at times. I'll get past this right? Don't mind me too much, I'm sleep deprived and have no real life friends to talk to. My boss put in her resignation. I hope we get a new DNS that is as nice and lenient as her. Makes me nervous to think of getting a new boss, I've had the same boss for over 6 years now and we've kind of established a relationship. More change. I don't much like change, except for small changes. Small changes that are easy to adjust to are more my cup of tea.

At last I've found my long lost sister Cheryl I am the exact same, everything you said to a 'T'..you can talk or chat to us any time..stress takes a toll on a person and can make them physically sick as well. Good Morning all, I slept in, can you believe it..I woke up at 5am then fell back asleep, feel like cr@p right now because of it but I still slept in

Good morning. I am routine oriented but made myself work on adapting. Switching my own routines so I wasn't as uncomfortable when life switched them for me. Having kids was one big switch for sure.

Yes you'll get past this Cheryl. AS far as the kids go---things are alwauys going but soon THAT will become the routine. You can have order to an extent--but with kids things happen. I am sure though that with time you will build time into your day & learn to just roll with the flow to accomodate things without even thinking. Look at it as you being the Dr and you must build time into you daily schedule for emergency patients. and IF there are no "emergencies ie: unscheduled happenings"--well you have some extra quiet time & life goes a bit more smoothly that day. I think you need to do as I have. Find an outlet as I have with ceramics.(I think you already have with the running) With me, Nothing short of a major disaster or illness interrupts with that time for me. My entire family knows this. I can look toward that time all week. It really helps a lot. as far as the new boss goes, well--she soon will not be new and then that will be ok as well. I am not real good with change either, but I do find that the more change I have to deal with in my life the better I am at dealing with it. Look at it like change is part of the routine. I wish you luck. and yes we are here to talk with you about anything--it seems that talking is very theraputic in life. It prevents different items from being blown out of proportion.
