Normally I try try to snswer 'mater questions, but I would have to go to an answer site to be sure of anything...I do believe it could be late blight like tamara said, but do a search here, and if it's not covered, go to a good University Extension site like Cornell, (fantastic disease info) or Texas A&M.

One other thing, I believe late blight would also show on at least some leaves, gray smudgy patches, but again, I've not dealt with it. It trends toward cool temps (below 80F or lower) and high humidity.
